I bet the Patriots and Colts would somewhat disagree with that. Two teams that are much better at the pass that have learned to be good at the run. Teams that are one dimensional rarely win anything. As for not being able to retain people, the Colts have managed to keep Manning, Wayne, Harrison and Freeney to massive deals. Some of their OLinemen are making good money too. The Patriots have kept 3-4 key players and recycled everyone else. Good teams pick a few guys to keep together and have to rotate the rest, it is a fact of football. Bad teams like the Cardinals historically were, let their best players go and hope for the best with a constant youth movement.
