How come you are now posting with huge words? Can you go back to the normal size?
I didn’t change the size. I will now check if the font size is 3 or 4 before I hit post reply.

As long as the competition and decision making is based on the present and not the past, it should be a good thing for the D-backs to have potential positive choices.

I just hope that Lovullo gives whoever he decides a chance instead of going wishy-washy from one to another to another as he has done with his Catchers.

D-backs’ Shelby Miller gives up one run, strikes out six in latest rehab start
Arizona Diamondbacks right-handed starter Shelby Miller made his latest rehab start on the way back from Tommy John surgery in Double-A with the Jackson Generals.

Miller pitched 4.2 innings, allowing one earned run and four hits. He struck out six while walking four on 79 pitches.

Monday’s outing was Miller’s second rehab start. He had previously pitched for Class A Advanced Visalia on May 29, throwing five scoreless innings.

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Will require another rehab start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Miller (elbow) would remain on assignment at Double-A Jackson for at least one more rehab start, the Associated Press reports.

Lovullo noted that Miller didn't experience any unusual soreness with his surgically repaired right elbow after completed his first start at Jackson and second turn in the minors overall Monday. Miller, who tossed 79 pitches during that outing while giving up one run and striking out six over 4.2 innings, is expected to build up to 90 pitches in his upcoming start for Jackson, which will likely fall Saturday or Sunday. Assuming he comes out of that appearance no worse for the wear, Miller would presumably get activated from the 60-day disabled list and slot back into the Arizona rotation for the first time since April 2017.

Miller (elbow) is expected to make at least two more rehab outings in the minors before being activated from the 60-day disabled list, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic Arizona reports.

Miller was expected to build up to around 90 pitches in his third rehab start Sunday at Double-A Jackson, but he only made it 65 while being clobbered for eight runs on nine hits and two walks over three innings. The right-hander didn't report any setbacks with his surgically repaired elbow coming out of the poor start, but he'll require a couple more turns in the minors to build up to a starter's workload. Miller doesn't look on track to return from the DL until late June and may not be guaranteed a spot in the Arizona rotation if all of Zack Godley, Matt Koch and Clay Buchholz are pitching well.

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Will start for High-A on Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Miller (elbow) will start for High-A Visalia on Saturday, Jack Magruder of The Sports Xchange reports.

Miller has already made a trio of rehab starts so far, allowing 10 runs while striking out 18 across 12.2 innings during those outings. He's set to make at least two more rehab appearances before potentially being activated from the 60-day disabled list, lining him up for a return near the end of June if all goes well. That said, Miller may not be guaranteed a spot in the Diamondbacks' rotation once healthy if Zack Godley, Matt Koch and Clay Buchholz are all pitching well.

Despite Godley's one good recent game, I don't see him blocking either Miller or Ray when they are ready. It certainly appears that Miller will be first.

The interesting decision will be when Robbie Ray is back and ready. It might come down to which of the starters project to be a better long inning reliever. 'Sad that the one who is most flexible might be the one to lose a starter job.

Didn't they send Koch down to make room for Miller?

Lovullo would like to get Miller into a game in San Diego this weekend? Yeah, just like he likes to get Bracho into close games.

Why is Tory seemingly obsessed with playing guys just because they are available?
