Why not he deserves to go on this ride with the team if he wants to imo
No, he doesn’t. He had his chance to drag his washed up self in for this year and he chose not to. He would be a few weeks away from football shape and likely an injury candidate due to non football activity.

And what did all those things that you claim are far superior at this juncture do for him as far as production and being a legit impact player the last two seasons while in football shape?

It wasn't all on Fitz. That wasn't with this Kyler.

The Kyler that Fitz had couldn't throw intermediate. Couldn't hit the middle of the field. Struggled to throw where Fitz ran many of his routes.

This Kyler is much improved.

We must be talking about a different Antoine Wesley.

Fitz could die. Come back as a zombie. Lose several body parts while roaming the country for several years ala The Walking Dead and still be better than Wesley.

10% of peak Fitz is Wesley's ceiling.

Yea you’re delusional… So I’ll just say you’re right Fitz is a flawless player and his number were and are purely Kylers fault and his alone. Father Time hasn’t touched Fitz and he would be the perfect fit to come back and rescue this team on to a SB run…..

Larry doesn't strike me as a guy who would come in and disrupt the chemistry this team has built, whether he wants to/can play or not.
This 100%. Fitz knows he’s had no part of what this team has accomplished and has too much class to take the spotlight off the players who put the work in.

The other thing, he’s not going to come cheap. We have a lot of contract situations to deal with.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. SIGN TRAVIS FULGHAM!!!! He’s a FA with talent and would come cheap.

That's not remotely what I'm saying. Yes, Fitz dropped off, but it's not undeniable that in his first 2 seasons Kyler struggled in the areas of the field where Fitz operated. Which effected his numbers.

I've said on here not 2 weeks ago in another thread about bringing Fitz back that I didn't want him and it would be a mistake. But that in addition to what we had and before Nuk went down and if the choice is between Wesley/Isabella and Larry I'm going Larry all day long and it's not even close. Cooked Larry is better than those guys combined.

And that's based far more on the extremely low opinions I have of both Wesley and Isabella rather than a high one of Larry.

He's going to come cheap if he want a last hurrah in the playoffs. He's unsigned on the couch. He signs for vet min or not at all.

Beyond the sun.
I'll take any receiver that doesn't collapse at the slightest touch of a defender or play the "Oops, I accidentally slipped right before contact" game that has become an acceptable practice.

Bringing up peak Fitz is totally useful right now.

Wesley>>>Fitz

Fitz is only marginally more ready to compete in the NFL right now than any of us. If he intended to play, he would have went through training camp to prep. Zero percent chance he's anywhere near ready, and I would be most worried about him getting injured.

This isn't Madden, where you can just pick him up off waivers and he's a fully prepped 82 rating ready to pop in the lineup.

I can't believe this fantasy ever got any air.

Yeah I know. Nearly 38 year old Fitz off the coach is better than Wesley.

There's some kind of football version of beer goggles going on here with Wesley. He's a bum. He wouldn't make the 53 on pretty much most teams in the league. Maybe none of them if Kliff wasn't in charge of one.

The kid has one skill and that's being tall. He's slow, weak and skinny. He had one of the worst combines I've ever seen.

He's simply not good.

If Fitz were coming he’d be here now. Keim didn’t like the idea.

Hmmm.. this take is a little extreme Britcard.... He's averaging 14.1 a catch. That's not bad. Zero drops on 11 targets this season.

I agree with you that he's too slow to be a deep threat, but we don't really know about his route running do we?

I mean I'm no NFL GM, but he hasn't looked like a fraud out there so far this year.

Forget about Wesley, he's not much of a factor. Kirk, AJ, Rondale, Conner, Ertz, Chase will be enough without Larry. Losing Hop hurts, especially as a deep threat, but there are enough other weapons to take them forward.

The defensive line is going to be the ongoing issue. No pass rush=no chance in the playoffs.

If Fitz wanted to come back, I fully believe he would.

I for one would welcome him back just for nostalgia's sake. That would also mean that he believes we can win the SB and he wanted to be a part of it!

Fitz is probably happy they weren't interested in bringing him back. He saw enough of this kind of play during his playing time.
