Hell yeah I would be happy!

I would be thrilled even if we just made it to the post season.

I don't think any team in the entire NFL would be able to not get blown out by the Pats.
The Colts could come close with an all out td fest but they are in the same division.

Dallas, Packers?

Well who knows. Football is one of those games. The Pats could be 16-0 and Brady could have an off day and lose a game in the playoffs. It has happened many times before. Minnesota under Denny Green, KC under Marty, the colts with Peyton, San Diego also.

I'd be so excited to see the Cards in the NFC Championship game and about all the extra benefits we'd get the next season from a SB appearance I wouldn't even notice when they played the actual Super Bowl game.

Maybe that'll happen for real next year.

No. Ask Marino how it feels to go to SB then never come back again. You get there win it don't say hey we will be back again somehow, seize the moment. Patriots beat the Juggernaut Rams why can't we?

Because these Patriots are better than the 2001 Rams by a mile or so, and because these Cardinals aren't better than the 2001 Patriots. (Yet, anyway.)

Also, the Patriots aren't coached by a guy who refuses to change his gameplan to deal with a defensive approach that's stopping his offense, or who will leave a completely overmatched right tackle without help instead of putting another player in or giving the guy some help.

Sorry. Still bitter. But seriously, while anybody has a shot, even against the Patriots, Cards over Pats would be a much bigger upset than Pats over Rams was.

This is far from a slam on the Cards. The

I'd be ecstatic. ...I'd also be about $2,000 richer since I have pre-season odds on the Cards winning the NFC.

Actually, I was just discussing this with my Dad who lives in AZ, and goes to every game. Your going to think I am crazy, but my opinion is that the Cards are the only team that have a chance to beat the Pats in the SB. Not because I think we are more talented, but because we are the only team that would have the home field advantage at the SB this year. I am not saying we would win, only that we would have the best shot for that reason. Of course I am assuming that if we are in the SB, we will be playing somewhat better than we are right now.

If we make the playoffs I will be thrilled. SB would be like winning the lottery.

I agee with your last paragraph. Regardless of whether it's GB or Dallas, New England will NOT win in a rout. I like the Pats with home field advantage to get to the SB, but Dallas & GB are very good & proud franchises. They will not get routed in AZ. That said, no other team in the NFC is balanced enough to give the Patriots a close game. If the Cardinals make the playoffs, they will lose significantly to either Dallas or GB.

A run to the Super Bowl would be fantastic, regardless of the result in the big game.

It's really two questions.

I'd be happy if they made the Bowl.

I'd be mad if they got blown out.

Would probably go crazy with a bowl appearance. If they get blown out I could care less. One playoff game in 20 years and I am just hoping to sniff the playoffs one more time.

I don't think we would have a home field advantage because of the game being in our stadium. Lots of Pats fans would be there. Plus, most of the tickets are NFL people or corporate sponsers. We could have an advantage because of the underdog label. If we got there and lost, I would be disappointed.

i'd be ecstatic. Better to have loved and lost. Who am I kidding? It wouldn't matter if we got killed seeing as I'd probably be dead by the Super Bowl anyway, having drunk myself into oblivion following an incredibly improbable road NFC Title game win at either Lambeau or Big D.

We're 5-5 with a beat up 49ers team in town, and the kool-aid is flowing freely! Pass me a double.

It would be great not to have to sign a rookie to an 800 million dollar contract, and require him to step in and start from day one.

I'd be thrilled if the Cards make the friggin playoffs, let alone the SB - regardlessof the outcome. I predicted teh Cards to go 5-11 before the season started and they are already at the win total with 6 games to go!!!

It would hurt to watch a whupping like that, but getting to the SB would be worth it because it would be so valuable to destroying the image of the Cardinals as the NFL's Clippers. We'd no longer be a punchline.
