if dansby think he deserves that he is crazy.
You think that Suggs would have put up the same type of numbers playing DE here as he did playing OLB in Baltimore?
Wanna know the irony of this statement is, one of Suggs teammates said this on his Facebook today:Originally Posted by earthsciYou must be registered for see images

SUGGS Deserves every cent he got! He's a D end more then a LB. D ends make more money thEN lbs SO its a bit tainted to call him the highest paid LB of all time."

But the issue is they have designated Suggs as LB. His new contract raises the tag values for LB and not DE. Agents will say - hey look, that LB got paid x and so should we.
Exactly, if he was franchised with the DE tag like Peppers, then he would have received 16.7M for the tag vs the 9.7M or whatever LB's are getting.
We would have used him the wrong way and he would have sucked. (see Rolle at CB)
...we drafted a 3-4 OLB and made him a 4-3 DE. We would have done the same thing with Suggs.
That is what I meant.

Agents can say that sure, but teams will say no. Teams and agents alike all know that not all LB's get paid the same, there is a difference between 3-4 pass rushers and all other kinds of LB's. Suggs said in an interview that he and his agent succesfully made their case to the Ravens that he should get paid like a DE. Teams and agents a lite know this, but agents wills till try to play the game you are suggesting and will ultimately fail if their client isnt a 3-4 pass rusher.
Wasn't Calvin Pace granted that same recognition; paid like a 3-4 pass rusher?

It had nothing to do with the money but that a memeber of his linebacking core considers him more of a DE...What do you expect them to say? If asked, would your friends say that you aren't worth your paychecks?

I am not talking about the $$$$ though it is part of his Teammate's quote...Not really IMO. I watch all of their games and I can assure you he is an OLB. His buddy is thinking the same way as Dansby. The more Suggs gets, the more he will get when he gets a new deal. .

I was responding to this:

I understand that you watch a lot of Ravens games, but this opinoin is coming from a fellow member of his team that also plays LB, so I think that carries a little more weight.
My bad, I should have read through the entire thread before posting. regardless though, I do watch pretty much all of Baltimore's games and he plays OLB (and better than anyone else in the league IMO).
