I'm happy with Skelton so far.

I'm disgusted with Whiz's playcalling
21 pass to 9 RB runs
THT finally broke 1 from a pass formation
Feely has a td and 3 field goals counting a 55 yarder.

Breatson has a 17 yard reverse with a Skelton Block.

How far we have come in just 1 short season in the expectation dept. He was ok at best...and just a tease of what this team needs at the QB position to compete for a Super Bowl title.

The kid is doing a good job, some dropped passes make the stats look a little funky. His ball placement is awesome, he actually throws it so only a Card can catch it, pinch me. :)

Ok is not normal for a third stringer.

He's got a hundred miles to go to be what we need but he's the only QB I've seen all year I even entertained might get there one day after watching them play a half.

I'm excited but realistic about it, there's upside there and that's enough to keep me off the ledge for now.

And Skelton had several catchable passes dropped.

And even more uncatchable passes that should have been the easiest throws possible, open recievers. Looks worse than Anderson at times.

One of them for a 1st down that ended in a "FG attempt", stupid decision at worst time possible.

He has been doing a solid job, the defense has made the job easier ensuring that we are not falling behind, but he is extremely inaccurate and I don't know any good QB with success that is inaccurate.

He has ton of potential, much more than Hall and Anderson, that has to be said. But this kid is not ready.

What you hope for is that the bad throws are a result of bad timing and lack of practice, rather than general innacuracy, the last that can't be fixed so easy.

Inaccurate? His first start in the NFL. He has been off alittle, but he has also made some great throws.

like what I am seeing. Solid backup if not a decent starter later on.

3 of 4 this half...I still question the playcalling though.

Now if Wiz would only question the playcalling :D

Denver still has one of the worst run defenses in the NFL yet we still neglect the run

I just didn't understand 2nd and goal and going to an empty backfield with a rookie QB.

Whiz's playcalling at times is just bad.

Other times it's merely questionable.

I haven't seen this bad run D yet but I agree, way too much passing.

The kid is erratic but the playcalling isn't helping much. I hope he starts the rest of the season so we can see what he looks like with more experience.

I can understand why everyone is upset with Whisenhunt's playcalling, but I've seen time and time again, Wells or Hightower running into a wall for a gain of one or two yards. Every once in a while they break through, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it. Then again, we are going 3-and-out anyway, but the o-line definitely needs to be addressed this off-season. We need that balance since we can no longer rely on the passing game.

For now, I feel like Whiz is just working with what he has.

On most of those plays, we send a guy in motion, or something else and I don't know about everyone else but just by how the motion goes I can almost always tell it's a run.

I kinda think the other team has figured this out too.

I go about 90 percent when I am bored and just decide to call run or pass on us, I think that's too high.

When we do break that mold, with a double reverse or something else, it just seems poorly thought out, because generally it's not catching the other team unaware like it should, now the fake FG was good, but other than that, even the trick plays are dogpoo.

The running game like the passing game plays on a rhythm. We never get in a rhythm because we rarely run the ball.

Not to mention it opens up the PA pass.

For some reason our coach thinks we should run the spread.

Now that I say it Hightower, just gave the ball away :bang::bang:

Good points. I just think that, along with the fumbling issues has been why there isn't much confidence in the run game. I do agree that we should see it going more since we obviously aren't getting quality QB play. I'm a Whiz fan because I remember what he brought us, but improvements need to be made by next year or I will be right there with you all.

I'm excited and optimistic about Skelton, but remember Hall had a very similar first game against New Orleans earlier this year.
