Overthrown passes, 2 INT (although one was off a hit arm), scrambling around and running when he had open receivers......I am not impressed at all with Skelton.

Probably a redundant thread, maybe didn't need to be started, but was wondering people's thoughts of him after today's performance and where we go going forward.

I'm thinking Kolb needs to start as soon as he's ready.

Skelton looks awful in shotgun, not so much when he drops back and we have blockers in there. We ran it twice in a row, went play action and Skelton threw a pretty one to Fitz. I still want Kolb to get in there ASAP.

It sure would be nice if one of the QBs on our roster gave us hope for the future, right now it is looking fairly bleak.

Hey Skelator improved by almost 300% from last week. His QB rating went from 10.5 to 29.98

:p

His mechanics have been really bad the last few games. When the pressure is coming (which it always is because our Oline sucks at pass blocking), he's throwing off his back foot which makes the passes sail on him.

As I've said before the lack of an offseason has been a killer for younger players especially QBs. He knew that it was a problem but he couldn't talk to coaches about how to fix it because of the labor dispute

His pocket awareness has gone from making quick throws and moving smartly... to moving smartly... but never throwing the ball. I didnt get to see the entire game today but what I saw in the 2nd half he was consistently holding onto the ball waaaaaay too long.

the protection has been slightly better the last two games... maybe the shock of it is taking its toll on him.

Apparently our coaching staff has been trying to "help" him with his mechanics the last couple of weeks, kinda like they worked on Kolb's mechanics when he got here from Philly...correlation? We figure out how to "fix" every young QB who comes here...hmmm, maybe they have th wrong formula...that is why Kurt just ignored them and played the same way that got him to this level.

Are you kidding me? Skelton's like 3-1 this year. Guy's a winner. If he started season we'd be 8-3 now [Sarcasm].

Yeah OK...and the Broncos are winning the Super Bowl with Tim Teblow :D T

This day & age if you haven't got a threat at QB and a pretty good one, chances are you aren't winning a Super Bowl

Funny thing is, on last two possessions, he looked good.

No way Kolb doesn't get sacked on the play before Skelton's nice pass to Fitz for the first down.

And the screen to Hyphen was great.

The 8-2 49ers disagree with you

We have many problems besides QB which makes our O awful and it likely is also a contributing factor in our QB. Bad passblocking OTs, no 2nd WR, TEs can't stay healthy, bad gameplanning, etc - these are things that would make any QB look bad

Lets see what happens when it comes playoff time just like I said. Chances are they wont be in Indy

He is still young, He had the run game this game, I won't throw dirt on Skelton yet. He can still throw it through a brick wall, and has great wheels for 6'6" 250.

I will wait until a single QB succeeds in this offense? Him and Fitz and others never made the same read several times.this offense depends on each unit making the same read on the defense everytime. 3-5-7 step drop- how fast it comes out and who is the hot read all is determined by these reads.

No QB nor any of the units have ever read the same thing even 50/50%? Somebody needs to kick Mike Miller in the groin, or stomp his arm or something. KISS- It is not difficult to confuse this offense, all you have to do is show up!
