I really like what I am seeing from John Skelton with the exception of his not being in command of his footwork. When he sets up properly and steps into the throw, he is very accurate to go with his length. When he is unable to step into his throws, (or has to throw off his back foot), he bends back at the waist, and creates an upward slant to his body so that when he releases the ball, it comes out very high. Because of his arm strength it goes well over the head of his intended receiver, and sails long down the field past everyone. I hope his QB coach is working with him on this during practice this week. I believe that if he gets the footwork part of his game down pat, he could become a scary-good QB in this league. He has already shown the poise needed to be able to read the defense and adjust to what they give him. Getting his footwork right would help his accuracy a great deal.
