Skelton returns to practice in a limited capacity, which begs the question...

I'm not trying to start a Kolb vs. Skelton argument here, but...

According to 620, Skelton was limited in practice today. Do you think the coaches would take the starting shot away from Kolb for this weekend's game?

I'd feel pretty bad for Kevin in that situation.

Is there a chance Skelton starts this game?

I don't think he will start this game due to the injury anyways, but I also am not too sure that he would start this game even if he was healthy enough.

I think Kolb starts and Skelton backs him up no matter what. Lindley probably doesn't dress if Skelton can move around at all.

That's my guess.

I doubt if Skelton will be activated for the game. Why make things worse on the ankle especially if he is just limited in practice. I think he will be inactive for another week.

Fun fact: "begs the question" refers to circular logic.

It would be a huge blunder not to take it slow bringing him back.

So Lindley will be naked?

Skelton will be too injured to start...no matter how healthy he is.

I don't know. And I don't care...

However. If you look at QB performances the same way as pitchers. Kolb got the win for that game, since we were losing when he entered the game. He's 2 for 2 this year IMO. Skelton had a solid 1st half and I think he's capable of performing like that again, but I believe Kolb earned the start. I'm no coach though either, I'll trust whatever decision our coaches make and root for whoever is under center

I'm guessing that Management will want Kolb to start now that he has shown he can win games and is slowly returning to favor with the fans. Remember that Michael B. was pretty quick to say that Kolb would start against the Patriots. Way before Whiz said anything about it.

Skelton will get his chance again when Kolb gets injured or has a bad game.

at the rate our blocking has gone, I'm not so sure Kolb gets hurt. I know it's a tough one to say, but I think he only got hit like twice in NE

Skelton is not ready this week so it is a moot point.

Kolb has been pedestrian at best as far as offense is concerned. He, however, has managed the game well though and not lost the game. If he does ok against Eagles and wins, it will be really difficult for Whiz to pull him out.

0 picks and 1 fumble. He's done well enough I think. As long as we don't turn it over, the D and STs put us in position to score enough for us to continue to win games

I think Skelton sits for at least one more week. Kolb is healthy so I think he should start. Skelton should be healed before he comes back in.

IMO, its just to try and screw with Philly's game planning. There is no way they will start Skelton on one or two days of "limited" practice.

kolb played a good game but He had 140 yards- and a fumble- Skelton shouldn't lose his job to injury, but they are about equal as I grade them still- with different skillsets- I'll take Skeltons Gun and upside - but am happy we have Kolb.

It could turn this week- but has not earned it over Red Skelton IMO.

Skelton is not ready for prime time yet. He sits this Sunday. IMO if he is ready next week Skelton plays unless something above the norm happens.

that gun means nothing if he does not use it, if my QB is choosing to play a game of conservative short passing...then I choose the more accurate Kolb in those situations

Kolb wants to stick it to Reid. Don't deny him the chance even if Skelton is ready.

as opposed to Skelton's 14/28 for 149, 0 TDs and 1 pick? They're damn close IMO

Which makes the Cards 2-0 start and 9-2 run even more amazing. Two worthless QBs and -10 in turnover margin.

11 games in a row without either team scoring more than 23 points is rather unusual I would bet.

Agreed. It seems we can win with either. Neither being the reason though. Very odd in today's NFL

No chance until he is 100%. There is not a deep enough talent gap to throw 70% skelton out there.

This is kolbs chance to actually do something. If Kolb cant start getting 200 yards and scoring vs field goals when we do drive the ball he may keep his job.

if he stays below par and the only positive remains "he didnt turn it over" Skelton will be ready to take it back.

If it were my decision, I'd sit Skelton for another week with the explanation that we're being super-cautious about his injury.

The "real" reason would be that Kolb has taken most of the midweek snaps and figures to be less rusty than Skelton and it buys the FO an extra week to see what Kevin can do in a starting role.

A more intriguing question - at this point - figures to be "Skelton or Lindley" as backup?" Do we sit John one more week to give him more rehab time? Or do we put him on the sidelines where he can come in should Kevin falter or get injured?

Out of curiosity, doesn't Whiz adhere to the belief that you can't lose your starters job from being hurt? I don't remember.
