If for no other reason simply snapping the ball should require a QB change.

When DA is back there he is stomping like a 6'5 ****** throwing a tamper tantrum. He stomps when Sendlein isnt even looking, When Sendy starts to look DA is looking at the defense. Sendy goes back to making line adjustments and DA is stompin around again.

Max Hall comes in (in shotgun) and (gasp) vocally yells "hut!".

Not only should a change be made so we can look like a professional football team it should also be considered that when all you do is stomp there is no chance to get the defense to go offsides on vocal changes. Everyone know when the ball will be snapped except DA.

When you see that happening presnap how do u have ANY confidence that the play will be executed in a professional manner?

Every team stomps their foot to signal a snap in the shotgun. You want that to change?

huh? You watch much football.

Saying every team is ridiculous.

A few do but they do it in a smooth professional manner. Max didnt have to stomp.

You're serious. Tell me a QB that doesn't do it? (besides the savior Hall of course) Mannings, Brees, Brady, Rivers, Rodgers... They ALL do it. Center looks for the lifting of the foot to signal the snap.

Watch football much?

Saw Vick in shotgun last night not doing it all the time, Saw Henne as well. Dont think Favre ever does or if he does its very infrequently. And that is 3 for 3 on the other games I watched yesterday.

Keep watching. How do you expect the center to hear a 'hut' in deafening noise?

I just gave you 3 instances where it doesnt happen.

Lets see if they do it in AZ then when it should be much more quiet.

And to your point, midway through the 3rd quarter there was almost no noise as the game was a blowout. (Thats why Max could use verbal commands) yet DA cant?

Why change what's confortable? This is silly.

Its obvious not confortable. are you watchign the game at all?

There is so much miscommunication one play Anderson and Send had to stomp and look 4 seperate times. Clock was at 0 when it was snapped. Should have been a penalty.

I don't like DA more than the next guy, but you're REALLY reaching here. Advocating a change because you don't LIKE the way the snaps the ball. He isn't putting it on the ground; you just don't like the way it looks.

That's on the C, not DA.

Actually vs the Rams there was a fumble for a TD excpet Breaston saved it. Again are you watching?

Im not making an anti DA post here. I made AN OBSERVATION that is pretty obvious to anyone watching but you and Whiz.

Every snap you have to grimace and pray it LOOKS that bad on TV.

Warner lifted his foot when asking for the ball out of shotgun, as well. That's how the silent count works. Sometimes he does it more than once to "vary the snapcount."

Honestly, this is a pretty silly thing to ding DA for. I'd much rather critize him for locating passes poorly or going 0fer the game on third downs. It's a more fair critique.

Yawn. You'd better get used to the silent shotgun snap.

agreed. DA's got MORE than enough problems to slam him for besides... "he stomps his foot too hard"... I mean, seriously? come on.

Hell, I've yet to see anyone comment on this, but did anyone else find BEYOND RIDICULOUS that with 2:30 left in the half, we're facing 2nd and short at the 50 yard line and for some reason, not only did we not hurry to the line to make the best use of the clock, we took the ENTIRE 30 seconds and then didn't even get the snap off before the 2 minute warning. I mean, we LITERALLY just drained the clock of 30 seconds for no reason whatsoever.

Well we got about 5 posters that have no idea what the original post said.

Who said he stomped too hard?

Im saying there is no connection between center and QB. Often times they look/stomp 4 different times b4 they are both doing it at the same time. Led to the fumble vs the rams as well.

Maybe it's not the 5 posters.....

The problem there is Sendlein not looking, or maybe he is. It's possible that when he stomps two times, it's like calling 'On two; like Hut Hut' Is it that complicated?

Your words and then you went on to talk about how almost no one else even stomps and how unprofessional it looks.

And?

At no place is the point about how hard he places his foot. Your ignoring every letter but the word stomped? Not sure how you get to your point. Please clarify.

So let me get this straight.

Every poster on this thread but I thinlks that our process leading up to the snap in shotgun formation looks smooth, clean and with no issues?

Ok I stand corrected. I think it looks like a cluster.

Just watch an entire game with Peyton Manning on the road. He is a stomping machine.
