Please refer to the already posted threads.

Missed extra point, fake fg, and lack of tackling knowledge.

I'm angriest about the defense.

I'll tip my hat to Carolina though. They made some plays.

How you can even put Warners name in here is a joke! This game we competed and the refs took the game from us. Steve Smith was allowed to push off all day and also apparently doesn't play on the same size field as everyone else, his field extends out of bounds. The NFL is a joke with the bias officiating for some home teams, seriously we were dominating them game up 3 points until someone flipped the switch to start giving the home team some calls to get this game back.

Oh and the D comes to play on 1st &2nd downs and then gives up the 3rd in longs come on geesh. They need to learn how to tackle and stop the run, the last 5 minutes of the game was a joke.

Pretty much. The mistake-free ball that some people seem to expect does not exist in the context of the total lack of a running game. Warner was forced to pass, pass, pass, and got knocked around on a lot of hits in which he did get the ball out in plenty good time.

Dude made a couple of mistakes, but he was also the biggest reason the Cardinals still had a shot late.

Defense gets the massive lion's share of the blame here.

When the panthers got the ball after we went up 14, their next drive set the tempo for the rest of the game. When our D gets a lead to play with they often seem to relax and go soft.

What exactly were Warners mistakes? The ball JJ should have caught but tipped up in the air? Dude got whacked around all day and still damn near threw for 400 yrds and almost got us over a good team on the road. We need to stop banging on whats working (Warner) and start getting on the part of the team thats not working great (defense) this damn defense needs to start playing consistantly not just on first or second down.

The poor tackling stands out as the number one reason to me. Our D is really hurting in this area. Has been all year.

Warner was the only reason we had a shot today.

Culprits for the loss? The usual suspects: Rolle, Levi Brown, Edge, some questionable coaching decisions, Clancy's el-roado-foldo defense, and as usual, losing the turnover battle.

tough loss. move on, get the win against the Rams next week and we (I can't believe I'm saying this) basically wrap up the division.

No reason to panic yet. We lose next week and then we'll talk.

Our defense sucked in the second half, very true. But Carolina is also a very good team. Lets move on.

I didn't see the pick because I was stuck at work for the second half. I was just going off of what people's comments about it were, and they were mostly of the "Well, can't trust Warner" variety. If it was a catchable ball for Arrington, then yeah, that one doesn't count.

The only real mistake I got to see was not protecting the ball better on the fumble Levi recovered. And that's not a full-on huge mistake because he did get hit before he should have because Levi got beat pretty badly. It's just... yeah. It'd be nice if he held onto those more often.

i thought edges fumble was when everything started to go south. they scored the very next play and the momentum shift was bad.

I didnt mind the fake field goal so much. We caught them offguard and it should have worked but that throw was just pathetic. The extra point hurt.

Edge has no reason to gripe about lack of carries because his inabilitys have cost us SEVERAL games the past two seasons. I think the Hightower Arrington tandem is much more effective and should be put to use. No excuse for not executing plays efficiently after a bye week.

IF you want to hinge it on one play....

Panthers held Q and it looked like he was going to be open for the go-ahead TD. The VERY NEXT play Kurt got picked on J.J.'s deflection. That holding penalty turned out to be a GREAT decision by their DB.

The way John Fox teams beat you is by playing within themselves, not beating themselves, waiting for your team to make mistakes and once in a great while beating you deep. (You've got to come to them).

The only way you can beat them (especially in their house) is by playing near-perfect mistake-free football and eking out a close win.

Instead, we made the same mistakes we always make:

- The inevitable Warner sack & fumble.

- The inevitable long passing play (this time 65 yards to Smith)

- The inevitable botched XP.

- The inevitable O-line penalties on Deuce and Levi.

Plus - Edge (Give Me the Ball More) James - gave them the ball and Wiz decided to play cutesy with the fake field goal. (Add together the botched XP and the bogus fake field goal and there's your margin of victory).

Physically, this team belongs up there with the elite. But this team too often plays as though it has the collective IQ of a door knob, and until our players wake up mentally (or we find smarter replacements) this is a team that will continue to only be on the cusp of making the playoffs instead of being a lock to make the playoffs.

Primary reason: the defense gave up four scores on the first four Carolina possessions of the second half. The Edge fumble turned the game around, but the Cardinals came down and re-took the lead after that, then Johnson can't put the ball down on the extra point.

It seemed like the only break the Cardinals got was Muhsin's drop of the sure TD in the first half.

Kurt Warner played a fantastic game today. The pass to J.J. was a little high. The real mistake on that play seemed to be not throwing the ball when J.J. first broke free. Yeah, he was short of the first down at that point, but he could have run for it IMO.
