Why would we get Ivaroni (an unproven coach, close to getting fired) over Avery Johnson a proven coach who after a finals appearance was fired.

Although it is not applicable now, I think Raja Bell would make a good future head coach. He understands the natural flow from defense to offense and he is very much the competitor.

Elle may be from the same mold so I can understand the Suns interest.

Raja and Nash regularly make the Top 5 each year among the GM votes for "players most likely to become good head coaches."

Yeah, ignore the finals apperance. This Dallas team just isnt as good after the trade.

I just hope Kerr is smart enough to let Amare, Nash, Shaq be part of making this coaching decision. It would be a bad idea to bring in anyone these guys may not respect or have issues with.

I would just call Steve Nash into the office and get his ideas about who the new coach should be. I trust Nash's judgment even if his body has slowed down. I don't think Nash has any ego problems to get in the way. Also Nash knows the ends and outs of why the team chemistry was screwed up this past season.

Iavaroni is well respected here and many thought he should have gotten the head coaching job over DAntoni.

I have little respect for Avery Johnson as a coach. I believe that he is the primary reason Dallas does not have a championship.

And his voice and that bullfrog mouth of his is unwatchable/unlistenable.
