Yeah... while I was a big Faried fan, I was also a big Casey Jacobsen fan, the Lopez pick depressed me but I cant remember with who I would have preferred so they must have also stunk.

This year I wanted Terrence Ross but he went off the board too soon and is stinkin so far. By the time Marshall was up I was pretty bummed about what was left on the table.

I just go by what you guys say or quote about the draftees in here and I think I'd have outperformed our FO since Percudani died - so you must be pretty good. Sometime you screw me up - like with Barbs I got the impression he was a good defender so it was kind of sickening when I saw him play. (Not that he wasn't worth the pick we used to get him - and I should have guessed his defense was suspect when SA traded us the pick.)
I think the Casey Jacobson pick was one of the worst ever, based on who we passed on compared to what we got. The sentiment in here was strongest for Prince though I favored Boozer for his bulk.

My criteria are pretty simple - defense, basketball IQ, rebounding, toughness and strength in that order. IQ should be first I suppose but its so often overrated, I'm suspicious.

Man did I miss on Boozer. It never crossed my mind that he'd even get a tryout with a team let alone have a reasonably decent career. I blame that call on my blind hatred of everything Duke. And you're right about IQ, it goes hand in hand with heart (effort) but often times it's just a nice way to say the guy lacks athleticism.

I tend to favor the U of A Prospects a bit but other than Wildcats - I like athletes with size at position(s), defensive potential, etc. I've also noticed most of my Prospects are G/F's. haha

Marion, Finley, Person (first Draft I really followed in 1994-95) ; I wanted B Diaw (w/o seeing him play), R Jefferson, Iguodala, Tracy McGrady/Vince Carter (Nash Trade rumors) Wade (rumors of Marbury Trade), Bayless, K Bryant (Suns or lakers were only Teams he wanted to be Drafted by), D Granger, Terrence Williams (LOL), I Shumpert, Terrence Jones was the guy I would've picked at selection but Ross or Meyers Leonard were favs.

For bigs: Amar'e Stoudemire was the lone big guy I wanted the Team Drafted, though I was glad they selected Earl Clark but I was going on highlights videos (that year I didn't have much game-film) and panic attacks bothered me for a while that year! I had Robin Lopez (ouch) as my #2 behind Mario Chalmers though. heh

I really liked LaMarcus Aldridge at Texas but I don't remember my thoughts on if I wanted to Trade Stoudemire in a possible deal. Derrick Williams and Jordan Hill were other bigs I liked.

Obviously most of these guys we had no shot at without a Trade but the Suns tease you EVERY year, with Trading up scenario's!!!!!!
