Thanks RD --- You have written what I have been waiting for several months to hear. I look forward to your continued reports. Some of us live by these.

Just to add on and answer some questions.

I know it's only been two practices, but McFadden and Toler look very good. Toler especially. He moves so damn well and stays glued to his man. On one play Fitz tried a double move and my jaw dropped at how well Toler changes direction. Average size but solid.

Oh for RD- You didn't notice Rolle because he was wearing the yellow jersey over his shirt....AW was in all black and Rolle was in yellow.

Ditto what RD said. They look like they should be closing camp, not just starting. VERY professional with alot less contact.

Hermann Johnson is huge. You can spot him anywhere on the field, anytime.

We have too many outstanding recievers, catching almost everything. They are giving the DB's fits.

Rashad Johnson looks good. Moves instinctively. Closes well.

FWIW- BSP ran the second unit all afternoon. Leinart ran the third. Not sure if that's because Whiz wants to see what he has after he promised him a shot at the #2. We will see.

Lastly, They ALL look to be in great shape. No extra blubber this year.

Not that interesting. Urban explains it in his blog.

Wow! Thanks, Red Dessert. Howlings reminds me of Felix Jones.

I'll add my two cents.

Breaston looked to be heads above everyone in catching punts. Long was the only other guy that looked like he had a clue in this area. I was disapointed with Garvin in this area. He seemed unable to get a read on the punts and get himself in position to field them cleanly.

Will Davis surprised me with his size. I don't know how good a player he will be but he didn't look like a rookie. He is a man-sized-man and looked from a physical standpoint like a 3-4 year veteran.

They had the drill where the QBs drop back and threw it into a net with three pouches woven into the it. All the QBs did pretty well but Warner wowed the crowd by putting into one of the smaller pouches on every throw. His accuracy was amazing.

One other thing on Warner. Has he lost even more weight? If he didn't have the number 13 on his jersey I would have swore it was someone else. He is very lean and looked quicker. He was so lean he looked like a rookie QB because he was so skinny.

I agree on Jason Wright. Very stocky, very quick, sure hands, and looked like a veteran that was very comfortable with the team, like this was his second or third camp with the Cardinals instead of his first.

Becht surprised me with his mobility. I think I was expecting to see a guy that was a little more lumbering but he was quick and smooth with good hands for a guy with his size.

Speaking of TEs I was surprised to see Spach out there and moving as well as he did. He seemed to be fully recovered and looked good.

I also haven't seen him mentioned but I thought Dominique Byrd had a very good first practice. He was in a lot of packages including several special teams groupings. He was all over the place and looked good.

There is going to be a war for spots at the tight end position. Several solid Cardinal vets but they are being pushed by Becht and Byrd. This will be one position battle to watch.

I didn't attend the afternoon practice because I went golfing. I know, I know I'm a terrible fan. The way I golfed I should have just gone to practice. I will try to get up to Flag next week and get some more observations.

Very good observations. Thanks. I especially like that you agree on Jason Wright. He is a player. You got that right.

Wish I could be there. Thanks for the write-up. It sounds good so far, but hopefully Beanie Wells' bad luck doesn't continue when the season begins. I'm excited to watch him and Hightower this year.

Great read Red Desert!

Particularly liked reading about Breaston, TH, Jason Wright and of course 11!:D

Along with Beannie , indeed our RB woes may be behind us. Hope he can have a solid camp too.

I'll be expecting more good things on Branch and Campbell along with the new kid Cody Brown upcoming as well.
