Come on, 100 percent...that's just plain silly reasoning, my friend. People are pi$$ed, including me. Let them vent for a day or two, let us get this soul-wrenching agony out, and we'll be ready for the next game

You know how many times I have read this exact post over the years? Its frustrating. I got physically ill today after the final FG, and had to leave the house.

People vent in different ways, let them vent!

This is seriously one of the toughest teams in all of pro-sports to cheer for. There will be days like yesterday when fans will get tired of the sick feeling after a loss to a bad team.
All these years of losing and the Cards still have their die-hard fans though. They aren't going away because of the sick feeling anymore than I am likely to quit drinking because of a hangover.

FWIW fans are like this everywhere. Someone I know sent me a PM this morning to check out the broncofreak board, I logged in and there's teh thread "Jake the Dunce" which consists of a bunch of Bronco fans saying I don't care how good the D is, how good Shanahan is, and how many different RB's top 150 yards ina game this year we'll never advance in the playoffs with Jake Plummer at QB. 2 glaringly dumb picks yesterday, one that put them behind so he could get yet another "comeback win" with the admittedly terrific throw to Lelie for the TD.

It doesn't matter what team you follow you're never content, they're 4-1, he's 13-4 as their starting QB, and they have threads right now on who should replace Griffin at RB, and who they should get for their QB next year.

It's not just Cards fans that look ahead.

You're so right. And in truth, if not for a fumble by Griffin... they (The Broncos and Plummer) would be 5-0....

Seattle fans must be a bit bummed today.

Lets see, seemingly a great team losing at home or
lose away keeping a 15 game streak in tack.

Not sure who feels worse today.

Right, and their board is identical, fans screaming for heads to roll, others saying calm down we're 4-1.

Some fans, like me, tend to look at the overall picture and say I don't care if this is a rebuilding project we should be 3-2 and we would be if we'd got better QB play, had a better RB, hadn't collapsed on D etc. Others look at the positives, the team is clearly better, we're on the right path, Green will get us there.

The Cards are much improved this year. Our record may not show it but we have been competitive in every game and we have had a chance to win every game.

I will admit that yesterday really hurt and I told myself that I need to stay off the message boards for a couple of weeks, not listen to the local sports talk, or watch our TV sports reports. All they are going to do is bash, bash, and bash the Cards. "Same old cards", "they will never win". I don't want to hear it. But here I am because I am a big Cards fan!!!

What I wish was said is that the Cards are a much more competitive team and working to build something here. I guess that does not make good media though.

Go Cards! Draft a shutdown CB, and sign S. Alexander in 2005.
