I like him. He makes the NFL more entertaining than it already is. He is definitely one of the "gifted" WR's in the league. Top 3 no doubt. First off I have no problem with his sexy and the way he presents himself. It's a new age league. However, does he hurt his team with all of the attention he brings to himself? I've always thought that talking to the media only pumps up the opposing team that much more. You always see teams that bring the emotion when things are being said thru the media. What do you guys think? can he do more to be a team leader? like a ray lewis?

I had a friend who was on the Bengals roster for about 3 months last year and said that Ocho Cinco is the greatest teamate he ever had. Chad personally took out all the incoming rookies to dinner to let them know what it meant to be a Bengal and what was expected of them. He said that Chad would stop showboating tomorrow if the team asked him to and that the reason for all of his acts and celebrations is simply to keep the team loose and having fun. He also said that Chad is the greatest athlete he has ever seen in person and at the same time has the best work ethic of anyone on the team.

that's cool. I know chad is a loose guy. and I respect that. I am really disappointed that the nfl is moving to try and take emotion out of the game. like the delay of game spiking or dropping the ball. my only thing about chad is does he create too much bulletin material for the opposing team? maybe at this point everyone, including the opposing team, knows that he is just fooling about. that's the only question I have. maybe that's why he has gone away from the CB list in his locker. He certainly does make you want to see what he'll do next. that was awesome that he jumped into the dog pound.

I have a hard time believing a guy who eats McDonalds three times a day has a work ethic second to noone. he is a freak with his speed and he has good coordination. he is just athletically gifted... thats all

Palello: "Do you like Skyline?"
Chad: "Yeah. I like McDonald's, though."
Paolello: "What about Graeters ice cream?"
Chad: "What's that? I eat my ice cream from McDonald's."

Favorite Meal: McDonald's (two cheeseburgers, large fries and large Coca-Cola with no ice).

Johnson's dehydration raises diet issues.

Dec. 21--CINCINNATI -- Call it McDonald's-gate.

Bengals receiver Chad Johnson missed most of the third quarter Monday night because he was in the locker room getting intravenous treatment for dehydration. That was also the point in the game when the Indianapolis Colts took control.

Given that Johnson makes no bones about his love of McDonald's, the fact that this was not the first time the receiver has needed IV treatment has caused questions to be raised about his diet.

Johnson didn't want to talk...

Chad Johnson is drawing criticism for his pre-game diet of McDonald's.

there that is all my proof. i saw it on espn one time, he says there are times during the week in an NFL season that he will have Mickey Ds for all his meals outside of the practice facility. work ethic my ass, but great football player.

a friend of mine went to dinner with Johnson a couple years ago. It was the night he was named to the pro-bowl for the first time.He said Johnson was nothing like his on field persona and was reall reserved, respectful, and nice. Johnson already knew he'd made the pro bowl but didn't have an ego or act big-time either. I've always like 85. You can tell he's having fun and not a complete ass like Owens or Moss. Of course, i'll be in Cincy with that friend of mine watching Fitz and Q doing their TD celebrations all over the stadium.

I love this guy. He is never mean spirited but always funny as hell. He does bust his butt and play tough too. The is a great picture of him stiffarming a Lee Bodden in the Cle game on NFL.com.

First off Ocho Cinco is my fav non Cardinal. There is just something so fresh about his bravado and the way he acts that shows you he is not a primma donna but rather just trying to have fun and keep it loose. But he is all about winning and DOES have an insane work ethic. I don't care if he eats Mc Donalds becuase heis the first one in and last one out. Remember when he cried after losing a close game a couple years ago? He wants to win so badly and change the Bengals image - he would do anything. In that way he reminds me of a louder brasher 'Q'.

As for the bulletin board material firing up the team, I have heard Chad talk about this before and I love the answer he gives. He says he WANTS to fire up the other team and have them playing at their highest and best level. And then if he STILL beats you (and he usually does) what does that say about your best? I love that kind of attitude and thats what makes him the best trash talker in the game.

The only problem with him (at least for the bengals) is that he doesn't play defense.

Chad Johnson isn't the reason the Bengals couldn't even get a hand on Jamal Lewis or be in 20 yards of a receiver. That's the Bengals' biggest problem.

He is one of my favorite players in the league. I have absolutely nothing against cocky players who back up their mouth. TO is also another guy I really like. Plus, Ocho Cinco is just flat out hilarious.

I don't think he gives the other team any more ammo than he gives his own team confidence.

Johnson's dehydration raises diet issues...

I forget where I read it, but someone asked "have you ever watched a game with Chad Johnson where he DIDN'T get cramps?"

I thought about it and I realized that I hadn't. Dude needs to take better care of himself.

That said, I love watching him play. I make an effort to have him on my fantasy team every year (as I do this year!).

So felonies and misdemeanors were the topic of the dinner huh?

Your absolutley right. DUMBEST most idiotic nickname in all of sports!

Dumbest, most idiotic nickname in all of sports? Why? Strong words for a nickname that amounts to his jersey number. Do you think it's stupid because it's in Spanish?

Personally, I love it.

First off it is just his jersey #. Which IMO makes it ********. The fact that its in spanish is even more ********. He is a black man playing in the state of Ohio not a hispanic male playing in Mexico. The fact that darn near nobody cant even talk about the guy on TV or Radio without referring to the guy by his name but Ocho Cinco is beyond stupid. We should refer to every 85 in football as such then.

Or heck every # in football for that matter should now be said in spanish.

Its just DUMB. Especially considering he came up with it himself!

He came up with it during Hispanic Heritage Month. And he lives in Miami I think during the offseason, so there's the Latin vibe.

It is dumb, which is why I like it. It's not as bad as "Learned Hand the Route-Master" or anything.

I was gonna say something, but after reading your explaination I can see where you are coming from. I usually hate self given nicknames, and it doesn't make much sense at all.

But I like it.

I would also like to say I like to shout B-TRAIN! everytime Berry does something good out on the field.

Ocho Cinco will never be as good as TJ Whoseyourmama or Howsyourmanilla.

No celebration he does will be as funny as TJ's look after he got credit for a TD after a review, although he clearly didn't have both feet in.
