I agree with everything he said. I didn't really watch Porter, but the points about the other players was spot on to me. I was really disappointed in our Dline. Calais was way too high numerous times and got absolutely manhandled because of it. He put on weight this offseason and he seemed a little slow to me. I will reserve too harsh of a judgement as this is the first time I've seen them this year.

I am thinking we need to see more 4-3. If not we are going to get killed up front. If we can get some bodies to occupy space we can get some of these LB's to actually make a play or two.

I really like Bradley. I like his size and the way he runs downhill. Washington is a tackling machine, but he needs some protection.

Our Db's just might be alright. I really like Jefferson's size and he seems ready to mix it up. I hope he continues.

Marshall is a good nickel he seems very physical. Peterson will come along. Toler is alright. He needs to be more consistent with his tackling and awareness. I hope Adams never has to see the field because of these other guys stepping up. :fingerscrossed:

Meh. The Raiders put in their entire second team defense after ther first series. "Offensive line looks adequate against Oakland backups" is exactly encouraging.

Oh and I swear I forgot Haggans was even on the team. Please, please, please we need Schofield and Davis to show up.

Why do you and WarnerHOF keep saying this especially when you are wrong? They did have mostly 2nd team members in. But if you care to take the time and go back and check the tape(like I just did) Both starting DE's Lamar Houston and Matt Shaughnessy were in and playing against Levi and Keith in the 2nd series.

"It's hard to evaluate the pass rush in pre-season because there isn't much game-planning. But it would be encouraging to see one of the Cardinals rushers beat his man one-on-one for a pressure or a sack. That didn't happen often enough."

Story of the season.

Yep, I noticed that as well. It was a mix of 1st and 2nd teamers, and alot of the 2nd teamers that were playing are guys that will be playing extensively any way (subpackage guys). LB Quentin Groves (a starter) and DVD (who started the game at CB) were also in as well.

The Oakland broadcast kept saying over and over that they "dominated" us when it was 1st team vs. 1st team, but I don't think you can clearly say that when there is so small a sample size.

Green Bay's broadcasters are a little more tolerable. Next week shouldn't be as bad

60 Minutes of Raider Commentary

The Oakland broadcast kept saying over and over that they "dominated" us...
Rather than start a totally new thread, excuse me if I vent here:

In past years, NFL Network has split its game-coverage so that the Home announcers are on-air for one half and the Away announcers are on-air for the other.

Thursday, the Oakland announcers were on-air the entire game.

Which sucks for a number of reasons; biggest of which is that (especially in the 2H) we instead got heavy doses of sideline interviews with Raider players and practically nothing about Cardinal rookies and backups who were in the game.

Getting the low-down on our 2nd, 3rd and 4th stringers is one of the main reasons I look forward to watching preseason games.

I wonder what happened.

(Note - A Rod Serling moment involving the FSN-AZ rebroadcast of the game. As is typical, they blacked it out for out of town DirecTV viewers. But here's the weird thing - while they blacked out the video, the audio feed of the game with Glenn Parker, Jody Jackson etc. continued to be aired. Better than nothing, I guess).
