remember to think warmly of the creator of this website and our com-padre:newcards: Jim "Skkorpion" Skane, whom we lost two years ago today!

Thanks for the reminder, Carl.

Skkorp created something pretty special. A website that is so much "family" is rare. I appreciate being a part of it. RIP Skkorp. You are missed.

Def one of the good guys, made an outsider like me (who never met another cards fan living here in rhode island) feel at home. His input is missed on a daily basis.

At times I wonder why Skkorp, a person I've never met, is part of my daily prayer list. It's nice to be reminded why.

If you haven't read Mike Olbinski's post about Jim, you should. He says it all.

To be honest, I thought Jim was a jackass when we first crossed paths. I thought his crazy idea to create an Arizona sports message board was disrespectful to the old place.

That's the reason I am user 197 and not user 10. I didn't like it.

I was so wrong. Jim was the most unselfish, giving person I think I have ever met. After getting to know him, it became more clear what kind of person he was. I've introduced a few of you to him at halftime a couple of times.

Rest in peace, Jim! Thank you for all that you did for us in creating/funding this site.

I am grateful to have met him in person to tell him my thanks.

RIP Skkorp!
