For those that liked the music from the mid-60's. Check out "Take A Heart" by the Sorrows.

 Great song. They were an English band but they had a lot of California-Surf-Garage-Band in them. Especially the guitar rifts and drum style.

In a van...down by the river.
Still the greatest male rock voice since Jim Morrison IMO.
I hear some pretty good new rock/alternative music sometimes, but the majority of it is ruined the moment some yahoo starts to crap all over it with his vocals.
I first saw Soundgarden in '89 or '90(not sure) opening for Voivod in some building in downtown Mesa somewhere(a few hundred people). I was blown away.

I'm not a fan of most 80's music from '83 on(I think pop music in general, rap and MTV took the substance out of alot of good artists and music in general until the early 90's)<< just my opinion.

.....but '80-82 freakin' rocked in a big way.

Just dirty, nasty, sickly blues. Hendrix with Billy Cox(bass) and Buddy Miles on drums. I am quite certain that drummer Mitch Mitchell would have effed up this blues jam....as IMO he effed up most all of Jimi's musical attempts at straight blues, rock and R&B. I often wonder what some of Jimi's popular early work would have sounded like with a drummer like Miles who didn't so often overplay and play against the rhythm like Mitchell did. Mitchell's jazz style just didn't work for me. He reportedly was given the job as Hendrix drummer on a coin flip.
Anyway...this Hendrix cover/blues jam kills it. :) Especially at the 4:00 mark. :notworthy:

You can really hear the Buddy Guy influence in that.
