If you want to use Beal to his best value you have to make him one of your top scorers - having him defer to other scorers takes away from his real value. He's not a defender or facilitator.

There's just too much redundancy on this team to keep all three of Durant, Booker and Beal. I think either Booker or Beal needs to go.

The problem is, I don't think any team wants to trade for Beal.

A team taking on Durant would have to promise to extend him for two more seasons. I doubt if there are many teams that would do this.

I didn’t even realize he got hurt again JFC. In a vacuum this was the dumbest (not worst) trade in Suns history.
In hindsight yes. At the time we were getting rid of two boat anchors everyone wanted gone in CP3 AND Landry Shammet. It was hailed as one of the best get something for nothing trades. This is the trade that second aproned us. Which turned out to be one of the dumbest for sure.

Beal is actually a good player when not hurt. Probably not worth what he is paid, but he's no stiff. The problem is the parts we have don't seem to work together. Beal has actually tried to change to fit in. That said, it's not working.

Eh plenty of ppl nationally thought Beal was overrated and that it was a bad trade in real time. We convinced ourselves it was a swing worth taking because CP3 was coming off another hurt/ineffective playoff series. Beal was maybe a top-30 player being paid like peak LeBron. Funny/sad thing is I’d rather have Jordan Poole who the CP3 expiring eventually got traded for.

Same, I was 100% in agreement until Poole came up. I can give him some leeway because I've been frustrated and said the same as well but know if faced with actually have to make the call and think about it for more than a few seconds I wouldn't do it. It does convey the appropriate level of disgust I have felt many times over the last 2 years though to say "I'd rather have Jordan Poole!".

Well, he has company. Also, Beal may not have been 100% tonight.

I'd give Beal a pass here because he clearly rushed himself back because he's not exactly happy he's been hurt either. I'd blame his poor performance on Bud and the front office. The front office for allowing Beal to rush back and Bud for not recognizing and game planning properly.
