This will be a good game to watch or go to. The Sonics will be coming off a back to back against the Kings and should be a tough game for them. I can see the Suns put this game out of reach in the 3rd. Lets hope the Sonics do not shoot the lights out and make this game close.

should be an awesome game ... i'm still upset seattle blew the one up in the Key, letting a late 7 point lead disappear

Unfortunately I can't make this game, so the only live sonics I get this year was that shellacking in the preseason

I will however be at a westside bar hoping for the best for my boys

if seattle is moving the ball and being aggressive then they can take it ... if they are just a little bit off, then this one could get very out of hand because the suns are a very tough matchup for them

we must guard radman,Daniels and everyone on their bench. Just need to hope their two all-stars don't have season high games at the same time. At least one of them will play good ball.

What we get out of the bench will be key. Jimmy jax needs to bounce back from a poor game in Sacramento.

Oh and It's Walter's debut!!!

wouldn't be surprised if lose this one. It's always possible for a let down game.

another factor is that the supes are in sacramento tonight ... hopefully they can get into their heads and dispatch them without wearing down the team too much because the suns will run them

that's a tough stretch of style ... the sonics need their bench both nights (and the bench usually comes through)

The Sonics are a bit like the Kings in that they rely more on their offense than defense. Opponents of the Soncis shoot 45.4% (ranked 23rd) which is even worse than the Suns 44.4% ranked (14th).

The Suns have the highest scoring team (109.8 ppg) and the second highest shooting percentage (47.9%) and second highest three point percentage at 38.3% (with far and away the most made).

The Suns will score a lot of points. It will be a challenge for the Sonics to match.

I think we matchup pretty well with the Sonics and I like our chances against them.

Nash VS Ridnour - Obvious edge to nash
JJ VS Ray Allen - Edge Ray Allen, but I think JJ can make him work for his points.
Evans VS Q - Offensively Q is better, Defensively & Rebounding Evans is better - draw
Lewis VS Marion - Both having great years. I give the edge to Marion for his rebs steals & blocks
Amare VS Jerome James - Obvious edge to Amare, they have no one who can guard him. I expect Fortson to try to defend him most of the night because James isn't quick enough.

Bench:
Jim Jack VS Radmanovic - obviously they play diff positions but have simliar roles. Their scoring should cancel each other out. Draw.
Barbosa VS Antonio Daniels - Edge to Daniels
Hunter VS Fortson - Both are defensive players, not know for offense. Hunter's more of a shot blocker. Fortson's more of a thug. Let's hope he doesn't try to hurt somebody. Draw.

It should be a good game that I think the Suns can win.

I hope Fortson gets a fast break all alone, and when he jumps up to dunk, gets shoved in the back by Jerry Colangelo.

Rooting for the Sonics to beat Sacramento tonight in overtime so they'll be good and tired for tomorrow.

actually the sonics do rely heavily on their defense and suprisingly rebounding

they aren't a great rebounding team but have the 5th highest rebounding differential in the league

they don't hold teams to a horrible FG %, but when they are playing their best they pressure the ball, force teams to use the clock and take tough shots then they rebound and press

aside from shoot the 3 they don't do anything superbly, but many things working in one

if they play intense, pressure the ball and attack the glass they usually perform better on offense while allowing fewer points

if they are off on the defense and rebounding, they tend to fall behind, have a harder time scoring and lose

Or bring Jayson Williams to the game, and tell him that Fortson is his ride home.

There are times when I wish the Suns still had Jahidi. He's not very good, but just having him available tended to give thugs some pause.

LOL!

That's hysterical.

it's 10:30 p.m. in Arizona right now, in Seattle just finished the third quarter against Sacramento. Hopefully the Suns will be able to run their tired legs out of the gym.

Sonics - Kings game was prety entertaining..... Webber is the biggest cry-baby since Malone.

Fortson should be suspended for Suns game for throwing a chair after being ejected. :D

Just finished watching the Sonics-Kings game... very entertaining and fought down to the last minute. Brad Miller was suspended for the game because of throwing his wristbands into the crowd after the Suns beat them - at least that's what the announcer said. I suspect he voiced some displeasure with the refs and that's what earned the suspension. Anyway we wound up giving the Sonics an assist, though Songalia played well in Miller's place. Of course, their winning the game gives us an assist in the division race.

If the league acts quickly the 'thug' won't play against the Suns. He was ejected for an altercation with Webber and on his way out he threw a chair back toward the court. Luckily for the fans near the tunnel Jerome James caught the chair before it traveled very far. He also made contact with a ref who was trying to herd him away from Webber, though I don't think he saw it was a ref as he was glaring at Webber. Given his history I would guess the league will nail him with at least 5 games.

Even though Fortson deserved his ejection it seemed to ignite the Sonics so it wouldn't surprise me if they came out strong against us tomorrow if he has gotten suspended. They probably will anyway as I'm sure they'll be trying to get revenge for the game we took from them in Seattle.

The Sonics were taking the ball to the hole and got to the line about 40 times while the Kings got just 17 FT's. Lewis, Collison and Daniels were the guys that led the late charge that carried the team to win.

I haven't missed watching a Phoenix Suns game on TV in several seasons, but this will be the first one I've attended since the playoffs against San Antonio. I can't wait. I fear the arena is just awesome now. Hopefully it will be a good game with the Suns victorious.

It's spectacular, Joe. Even the colorful screen of advertisements fully circling the arena's middle section, coordinated with the top and bottom of the scoreboard, is something to see.

The Gorilla is pretty laid back now. Ced Ceballos has become the stop-in-play entertainment. But the Gorilla's team of gymnasts and he put on a hell of a show slamming and somersaulting from the trampoline.

The Suns exciting play, plus the constant show put on by AWA make it a fun experience. Quite a bit different from the days of the Madhouse on McDowell (which I still miss after all these years).

Ced comes out onto the floor (when it isn't the dancers) and tries to get the crowd going.

Oh! What does he do for the organization these days, or is putting himself out there?

What does he do to get the crowd going?

I haven't been to see a Suns games since 1994 probably.

He just runs the contests and tries to get the crowd going by doing the cliched "get up and cheer!", stuff like that.
