We got a game.
Osweiler didn't light the world on fire today but he's got to be the man for the rest of the year. He can actually make throws, he throws it hard, can throw it far, and can make some plays with his legs unlike Danny.
Danny was -7 points for ASU, Brock was +6, that ought to be the end of this nonsensical debate. We all knew what the right thing to do was weeks ago but our geriatric coaches couldn't get over themselves and do the right thing. Imagine what could've happened if Brock had been getting starts and first team practice reps, maybe we beat Cal and SC, we'll never know but we know this idiotic sticking with Sullivan crap was a bad plan.
Hang on to your hats because heard today they're mulling over starting Sullivan again and bringing Brock in the second quarter. Or some such thing. Basically, not wanting to throw Brock to the wolves in Eugene.
Yeah, I'm not sure what Erickson is thinking here if he starts Sully unless he's trying to get fired or something. Oz is going to have to play at a tough venue at some point. That makes perfect sense. It's much better to play the Freshman when the Offense is 3-5 scores down, rather than even... I seriously don't understand why the sympathy for Sullivan. I'm sure he is a nice guy and all, but he isn't good, he isn't close to anything that would resemble good. He is the most inaccurate quarterback I have ever seen play Division 1 football.
It's mostly recruiting. Sullivan, Szkascky, Stangel, and Elway (the latter three being DE's first three QB recruits) aren't Pac-10 caliber talents so relying on a freshman only makes sense. This season is just a waste. I'm so disappointed in the effort that has been given by the coaching staff to develop our quarterback replacement for Rudy (and that failure began 2 years ago). It was known that Sullivan had little talent... that has been known for years. They should have had a plan in place; instead they have an injured player and a true freshman - both of which can't get on the field based on some 'unseen' value of Sullivan. It's just disgusting.
I don't know what happened in the locker room at halftime, but from what I hear, Sullivan lost it. One of those "keep it in the family" moments that no one will discuss. This was before Erickson announced a switch. Maybe was the deciding factor.

Still wish Samson's shoulder would heal up, because he's by far the most accurate QB of the three and offers more upside right now for the offense.
If that's a reference to the booing when Pedroia was out there, they weren't booing him. Some genius just decided to have Dustin be introduced at the same time as the Trojans were running out onto the field.those Yankee fans in the student section
OK. I'm not in the student section anymore so I just figured they were booing USC like the people in my section were. They should have introduced him at a different time.No... I am in the student section so when I hear people say F the Red Sox, screw him....I know it was towards Pedroia, haha. Some were booing him and I felt that was just so stupid..I had the displeasure of sitting next to those "fans." And I hate hearing people cheer for someone to get hurt like they were doing.
