Randy Johnson gutting out a 1-0 game, bases loaded 1 out, he gets a Marlin to ground weakly to second base, Spivey scoops it up steps on second, has plenty of time to throw to first, winds, throws, aaaaaaauuuuuuuuughghghghghghghhhhhhhh!!!!!!! In the dirt towards right field!!!! Hillenbrand can't dig it out!!! TWO RUNS SCORE!!! GAME OVER (as it turns out!)!!!! When it goes bad for a team, it seems they just can't get a break! Randy Johnson 1-4!!! This team has lost all confidence! Let's hope they can rip off a good 5-6 game run to start salvaging the season!! :)

Agreed! Maybe even Kata playing first with Shea on third, hmmmm? Why they had Kata on third and Shea on first? Sometimes Brenly makes me wonder.

I saw the highlights and Overbay would of had it. If Grace would just retire then he would not be wasting a roster spot and Lyle would be back on the team.

Well in all fairness, there was NO REASON to hurry the throw because the batter was only half way down the line when Spivey was readying his throw. He could have lobbed it there and got the runner. Also, the guy heading to second has a groin injury and was NOT a factor on the throw. I agree, Overbay, or Grace would have got that throw, MAYBE, but it shouldn't have come to that! In a one run game, maybe Brenly should have started moving in some of the defensive guys! Oh well water under the bridge now!!

Before Womack left Disney switched his and Spiveys bodies.

Who else hits .158 for July and makes game losing throwing errors and still gets to play?

You would think that these guys would be good fielders since they stink at the plate. How many teams consistently make more errors than they score runs?

Did we have three errors? It's amazing, as little as we hit that game, one good throw and we possibly could have won it. I just hate how we seem to lose close games for Johnson!! He didn't have his best stuff and he still kept us in the lead until that throw!! That was amazing!!! Too bad he got the loss.

2 errors on mouller(sp) one for the throw to second, and 1 for the catchers interference, and then the killer was Juniors.

Chad Moeller is a decent hitter . . . but careless behind the plate . . . and he can't throw out base-stealers.

Rod Barajas is solid defensively . . . and good at throwing out baserunners . . . but has turned the bottom of our batting order into easy outs.

I wonder if someone is available to be our lead Catcher . . . one who can hit . . . and field his position.

I'll go lie in my HAMMOCK while I think about that! :D

Hammock's hitting was as bad as Barajas' before he was sent down to Tucson.

As bad as the offense has been over the last 15-20 games there are still probably 3-4 games that could have been won if not for errors.

I did not get to watch the entire game last night. Was the throwing error charged to Moeller the one that Spivey had to chase down in center field while Pierre advanced to third base? If so, I thought that should have been in an error against Spivey. Of course I only saw the play once.

Anybody else notice that the Diamondbacks took off when Spivey and Bautista were injured, and the team is really struggling now that they are back? I'm not saying they are the entire problem, but they have added two guys that can't hit right now to a lineup that was already struggling to produce runs.
