I'm trying to understand this. Why would someone come to a discussion thread of a show where there's a very real possibility that the discussion will focus around the latest episode(s), which this person hasn't seen yet for a variety of reasons? I won't be watching this Sunday's episode that day, and it will likely be 2 or 3 days later. I will not open this thread, or any other site that might spoil it for me until I can watch it when it's convenient for me. I don't think adding spoiler tags is such a huge burden on the person commenting. I'm honestly trying to understand the thinking behind what I asked.

Simply put the thread isn't just for the last episode. I have seen many forums have a general discussion thread and an episode specific thread. We don't have that here. So for me personally, sometimes I open a thread just to see what is being discussed which is not always episode specific.

Also for many people like me that no longer watch many shows on the network schedule, I don't think of certain "nights" as the show night. So once in awhile I go into a thread without realizing that others have already seen an episode that I won't see until the next night. It happens.

I think that if you knowingly enter a thread of a TV show or movie that you have not seen, you enter at your own risk. We should be able to talk freely about a show without having to put spoilers. Read at your own risk. IMO.

Now, on facebook or twitter, you are a jerkface if you post spoilers because the person reading isn't knowingly going into it thinking they will read information about that program.

Stop being a mature logical adult! You know that is frowned upon around these parts.

Then why bother having spoiler tags at all on the site? Look, I follow the above good sense spoiler survival advice, but not everyone does.

Right, there's being an outright jerk and being at least CONSIDERATE for a few days. Why is it so hard? And being no good at computers isn't exactly a good excuse IMO.

i heard in Captain America: Civil War that the North wins again.

Not what I heard. I heard the war will never end because both sides are so "civil" neither side is getting anywhere. All that handshaking isn't getting it done.
