Former Olympic and heavyweight boxing champ George Foreman died on Friday at the age of 76, his family announced on social media.
"A humanitarian, an Olympian, and two time heavyweight champion of the world, He was deeply respected — a force for good, a man of discipline, conviction, and a protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name— for his family," the Instagram post said.
Foreman had a professional record of 76-5 (68 wins by knockout) and was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame and the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
