Disagree. Do you think PJJ was a disaster as a rookie? Moving sides is not that difficult. College teams put their best player at blindside. That doesn’t mean he’s a blind side in the NFL. Just that he was the best player at Texas

His capabilities fit better as the front side. He is solid but not elite in pass protection and an absolute beast in the run game.

Couldn’t disagree more. First moving sides is not easy. Humphries for example couldn’t play RT but was at least adequate at LT. Before his late season injury, IMO Johnson was adjusting well. I believe he plays there for years.

He played on the right side in college. He had experience there.

Mykel is slow off the snap on literally every play. There’s no way the coaches haven’t worked with him on it so he must just lack reaction time. An obvious red flag for an edge.

IMO it’s not the side movement that is difficult. (Have done myself - much lower level)
It’s the skillset required. The blindside operates on an island and moving from that into a more integrated part on the oline on the other side is hard. My point is that Banks has a better skillset to be RT in the NFL

Enjoying the discussion on what the Cards will do. We all have opinions and the bottom-line is that we are all clueless on what really will occur. But the Draft is sure fun to discuss and debate.

The real question is whether it's relevant. We've had really good safety rooms in the past (and today), but having an elite group at a lesser position maybe doesn't move the needle much?

That’s a legit consideration. But thus far it seems like our offense is a TE heavy utilization design, and it’s resulted in superior rushing production. So while I agree you adjust down for position importance, I think you adjust up for scheme usage of position.

Should we talk more about Benjamin Morrison? Just because nobody is. Seems like a solid round 2 option to me.

Phoenix native. Comes from a family of athletes. Ball hawk. Was certainly a top 2 CB and 1st round pick before his injury. Has a workout at Brophy Prep on the 21st.

Ben Morrison at #47 might be better value than Will Johnson at #16.

Man a hip injury requiring surgery for a corner. I don’t know about that. He was for sure talented. First round talented imo. But a hip injury is no joke for a corner.

See, I absolutely hate this approach. To me, it's "Oh well, this guy at the top of our board is gone, now that guy at the top of our board is gone...heck, five or six of them are gone, but it's okay getting the 6th or 7th guy on our list because we got a 3rd round pick." Stick and pick and take the higher rated player. And if you're telling me they're all tied? A--I don't believe you, and B--It sounds like we should've traded up. We're in the market for instant impact, not depth/belly players/Draft Picks vibes.
