No coach is going to solve major defensive holes in this team. These guys on our team need more than coaching, they need ability to play D. Grant Hill comes the closest. Nash, Amare, Barbs, the rest of them are offensive players with 0 defensive ability.

Suns down 92-100 with 5:36 left in the 4th. Naturally Popovich calls a timeout to stop this Suns minirun. Spurs ball.

JRich is a better player than a guy who shud be standing in a corner, the guy is great with the ball. He is not just a shooter.

barbosa got his ankle broken .. wow .. parker what a move. .. but i think shaq was suppose to help, thats why he moved to the side

There is no team defense. Nobody knows what they're supposed to be doing, or they've just given up on defense.

And we thought Dantoni's teams played bad defense? Someone ends up wide open on almost every possession tonight.

They still need a competent coach. Of course that isn't going to solve our problems, but it's a good start. I'll never understand the reasoning of Porter apologists.

Pretty much.

Whatever offensive contributions those guys are going to make don't matter much when the other team's guards are guaranteed to light us up.

And getting J-Rich is pointless if you're going to COMPLETELY ignore the guy in the offense. So you don't want him to be involved in the offense, you're then bringing in Jason Richardson to be out there for what? Defense? Rofl.

If we lose this game, Porter's hackabowen is what lost it for us. We were ties 79-79 and we handed them 5 points and haven't been able to recover. I have been one who has given Porter the benefit of the doubt thus far, but I simply can't anymore.

Nash also hurt us by trying to do too much.

Porter doesn't use him correctly.

Sad thing is we're extremely lucky that the Spurs keep missing so many open 3 pointers.

I hate Porter, I'm just making a point that our guys don't have the ability to play D.

I'm no Porter fan, but you can't really blame him for trying that. I mean, Bowen is 28% FT shooter, or something like that.

The problem is the Spurs have damn good finishers. Parker is the best I've seen finish as a PG at the basket. That guy makes some crazy layups. No one the league can guard him. Add Nash's defensive woes and gives him an extra 20 pts.
