Man if Bledsoe can develop a more consistent mid-range shot.... Wow!
What an exciting game nonetheless!!!!

The Spurs exploited our youth and inexperience down the stretch...we just didn't execute and they did

Yup..i do think the Suns are losing more because they are getting out-coached, which is not surprising.

Nailed it. Made some great adjustments. Slowed the game down, played out of the post, stayed home on Channing. No shame Jeff, Pop out classes a lot of veteran coaches.

It's tough to beat the Spurs when nobody is having a great game (Except for Plumlee. Frye had an amazing first quarter, but not much after that), the bench is not doing a whole lot, and your two best players are shooting 11/33 from the field and 0/5 from the three point range.

They fought like hell, Archie did a good job in the first half, and Plumlee had an outstanding game. Suns were still able to hang in there until the very end.

Agree... And in the end, without nobody really having a great night on the offensive end of the court, we somehow hung in til the end.
We're still young... Need to mature and when we do, watch out!!!

We needed more Goodwin and less green. Green has somewhat of a low bball iq and can be a ball stopper sometimes.

Was nice to see Goodwin be aggressive and attack. He didn't get some calls he should have though.

Some low bball iq plays tonight by Morris Morris and green tonight.

Dragic and Bledsoe combined to shoot 12-for-33.

Popovich sent in Boris Diaw to quiet Frye early in the third quarter with the score tied 65-65. The Spurs quickly pulled ahead, and Frye scored only four points the rest of the way.

Dragic seems to always struggle when guarded by long good defenders. They had Leonard on him alot. And they forced him right and he couldn't do anything to the right side.

This should have been the game where Bledsoe proves he's worthy of a possible max contract and carry the Suns to a victory.

Nuggets coming up, better win that one. No Ginobili or Duncan to worry about there.

Bledsoe was exhausted. By the 4th quarter, he just had nothing left. Not the first time he's been out of gas by the 4th quarter.
I think we underestimate how tough it is to play 35-40 minutes in an NBA game when you are not used to it. This game was a very good learning experience for the youngsters (including the coach). You learn nothing by getting blown out by 30 points or winning by 30. You learn the most from close games. I think they will come out swinging against Denver and run them over by 20 points.

Green should be spotting up for 3s or finishing. He should NEVER go one on one on the wing. He never scores from there.

Not to mention Bledsoe expends a lot of energy on both ends on the floor. Hopefully he can get his conditioning up, or we need to route even more ball handling duties to Dragic so that Bledsoe can stay somewhat fresh at the end of the game.

I thought when it was apparent that Ginobli was going to score anyways, because the Spurs are that good at picks and screens, that Tucker should have been pulled for offense. Not having Ginobli work on the defensive end and able to roam was not helpful to the cause, IMO.

Even though tucker is a great defender I felt this way too.

I don't think we will blown out Denver. The Suns have the 5th worst defense in the NBA in terms of giving up pts in the paint and the Nuggets have very good players who penetrate and finish well like Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried so it definitely won't be easy. Suns have to bring their A game, if Bledsoe and Dragic plan on shooting around the same % as they did against the Spurs then quite the opposite of what you said will happen.

Tucker wasn't all that effective defensively yesterday. He didn't really stop anyone.

I think the Suns should get back to focusing on developing their young players, playing well as a team and forget about wins and losses. This is not the season the Suns should be worried about winning. Somehow, after experiencing early success, the Suns have gotten into the win now mode.

Huh? Seems to me they're playing basketball games to win them. And they happen to be winning them more than they are losing them. Hate to tell you, but whether you are rebuilding or not, every team is in win now mode. The difference is that if you DO lose, it's not as big a deal. But they will certainly try to win no matter what.

Are you advocating them to simply lose on purpose? Where does it say that developing their youngsters and winning are not supposed to go together?

I'm guessing that he's talking about the fact that the likes of Christmas and Smith have dropped out of the rotation, and Goodwin's minutes have been slashed.

Sometimes younger players should be played more throughout the game, even at crunch time to develop them... even if costs a win. IMO, players like Plumlee and Goodwin should be getting more minutes at the end of games. This especially applies to Goodwin. Sometimes Hornacek will play Bledsoe and Dragic to the point of exhaustion at the end of games when one or the other becomes too tired to become effective.
