No stuff it... no bucket. That's the defense the Spurs have played all night.

The spurs do deserve some credit for their d. However the suns have been doing them lots of favors. The decision making and effort have been awful.

There has been 0 movement off the ball.

Suns can't even make free throws (7-16).

It's probably too late but the Suns should examine their lack of big men.

Suns couldn't get a basket from Saric or Kaminsky.

Maybe I should start a play Stix campaign.

The Spurs rested three players and were coming off a home loss to Portland last night.

So they traveled...

Really pathetic performance again tonight.

what disturbed me most was ANOTHER total dud from Bridges.

Last four games, he’s scored 7 ppg, 3 rebounds and hasn’t done Jack on D.

you can’t pay that guy 20 million dollars and not kill your cap for the future. He’s a good defender, but not a Dennis Rodman esque defender. And he just completely no shows too many times on offense. Rodman got big contracts post Pistons because he was a good defender and a HOF rebounder. THAT guy is a difference maker who didn’t have to score.

Bridges doesn’t come close to making that kind of impact and paying him as if he does is making the same damn mistake the Suns made with Shawn Marion. Overvaluing your own and choking your cap by giving overvalued contracts is only going to keep this team from getting the third star they’re going to need once CP3 is gone.

Seriously, this was absolutely predictable. How many times this year (and the last, for that matter) have the Suns gotten on a big roll only to have a total flop game against some second rate (or third, even) opponent? It's as dependable as the sun rising and setting (no pun intended).

Well... if we get them in the first round at least we have more cause to take them seriously.

Also, I really don't want to face them in the first round. We should beat them but losing to the Spurs would be immensely painful.

Popoviched again!
he plays a game within the game

he knew they stood to lose even with all his starters, in our building, after a back-to-back
so he went all-in on the only thing he could do
-- "rested" his players as if he was throwing in the towel
-- to make us lower our guard even more (literally and figuratively)

no other coach would take such a gamble with his team fighting for the last play-in spot

brilliant

The Spurs got after the Suns physically and they were not able to match it. Everything was challenged especially at the rim and the Suns were not ready for it. They were even missing layups because the Spurs put a body on them. Their offense struggled accordingly.

If you ask me, the Suns played like they were intimidated and by Eubanks at that. Suns looked like a finesse team out there last night and teams on the upcoming road trip are going to attack them this way.

The Suns didn't even get a single basket from Saric and Kaminsky. And Crowder only scored one basket.

they threw cold water on the night we played for the best record
now we just have to return the favor the last 2 games of the season
by robbing them of their play-in spot

sweet

caps already killed for the future.

again how man shots did he take? 5?

singling out bridges is kind of ridiculous, the whole team sucked.

I said really pathetic performance tonight. I was speaking of the whole team.

but the whole team hasn’t had multiple games where they just haven’t shown up on either end of the court. That’s why I brought up Bridges’ no show again. Because there’s a disturbing amount of those games happening.

yes, he only took 5 shots because he’s a completely reactive player who can’t consistently create for himself or others. That’s part of my issue with throwing a huge contract at him. If you think Monty wouldn’t rather have another guy who could break down defenses and dish, I don’t know what to tell you.

and if the cap is killed already then you have to be even more cautious about who you spend your money on.

As I see it, the Suns really only have two players that can break down a defense with their athleticism. That's Booker and Payne.

Chris Paul can do it some with the use of his basketball IQ and reading defenses. Abdel Nader, before his injury, could provide some help by slashing to the basket.
