Spy-Hunter is an action packed adventure movie based on the popular video game. An ex-fighter pilot, Alec Sects (The Rock) is called back into action to rid the world of an evil menace named Daemon Curry. Curry is the president of a cartel, NOSTRA International, whose goal is to have world dominion.

Sects becomes a member of International Espionage Services (IES) to thwart Curry's plan of a global take-over. Spy-Hunters is an elite group in the IES that Sects joins in an effort to stop Curry's evil plan.

The G-6155 Interceptor is an experimental battle car loaded with weapons and unusual devices that is piloted by Sects to fulfill his mission at all costs. The G-6155 Interceptor has the ability to transform into a speedboat or a super fast motorcycle. The battle car-boat-motorcycle comes in handy when fighting the enemy. The opposition has a few tricks up their sleeves too. They also have vehicles with unique equipment, making the struggle to win even more difficult for the good guys.

While promoting his other videogame adaptation, Doom, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gave an update on the movie.

He said, "...Right now I’m concentrating on 'Spy-Hunter'. I just did the motion capture for 'Spy-Hunter', the video game, 'Spy-Hunter 3', which is pretty cool because it allows you to get out of the car now. Yeah, it's really cool. It will be with Universal. This is one of those projects where we've had eight writers on it, on 'Spy-Hunter'--great writers too.

"Millions of dollars being spent, but it's one of those things where you really don't want to rush it. You just don't want to make just any type of movie. It's such a special movie conceptually. It's so cool with the car. And you're the hunter of spies. Stuart Beattie we all believe will come through. He wrote 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'Collateral,' so we're waiting--fingers crossed. It should be in in about a week."

Doom opens in theaters on October 21. Spy-Hunter is targeted for release next year.
