Cuttler is not even close to being a top ten pick.

D'Brick could fall to ten as he is great/& still the best OT at this level but for all his quicks he was still getting beat inside so he will not be doinant from day one in the NFL.Needs to add 30 lbs of muscle.

Max Jean-Giles is a beast of an OG and I could see him sneaking in to the bottom of the 1st.

D. Williams has great talent but so did Arrington at that level. I think his size could be a problem as he is smaller than JJ. Still an amazing runner with vision and burst.

Hali is a man amongst boys. He looks like he is ready to go.

Gabe Watson is a load with some quick feet.

Cedric Griffen very athletic and showed the best instinct amongst the DBs.

Sinorice Moss will rise. Not just Santana's little brother anymore. He has great speed and instinct.

Dominique Byrd looked pretty good for a 6'3 260 lb'r he can move while Marcedes Lewis was irrelevant.

Local boy Hagan killed himself. Should have stayed home. Maybe 4th rounder? Slow, bad cuts and dropped everything.

Tye Hill good raw ability but needs work on his technique/instincts.

I have a hard time imagining that Hagen will drop to round 4. A bad week of practice and a subpar Senior Bowl does not erase 4 ears of tape.

Same with Ferguson. Anything can happen though, that's what makes this time of year so much fun.

Ferguson dominated the defensive players he faced all week. He got beat inside once during the game which is no big deal. He wil not drop and is a top five pick for sure. He will continue to get better with pro coaching.

Did you watch the Sr. Bowl? They basically said Hagan should have skipped it. He did that much damage to his stock over the week.

As far as D'Brick goes; all I am saying is going into the game I saw him as a guy that was "all that". Now I still see him starting right away at left Tackle but he will take a couple years of maturation to be "all that".Going in I thought he was a top 5 lock now I think there is at least a chance he could slide as far as ten. I found this mock on another site it is not mine as I would never have Cutler this high.

Houston Texans - RB Reggie Bush - USC
New Orleans Saints - QB Vince Young - Texas
Tennessee Titans - QB Jay Cutler - Vanderbilt
New York Jets - QB Matt Leinart - USC
Green Bay Packers - RB LenDale White - USC
Oakland Raiders - DE Mario Williams - North Carolina St
San Francisco 49ers - RB DeAngelo Williams - Memphis
Buffalo Bills - DT Haloti Ngota - Oregon
Detroit Lions - LB A.J. Hawk - Ohio St
Arizona Cardinals - OT D'Brickshaw Ferguson - Virginia

We're not drafting Derek Hagan. BJ is basically the same player - mediocre speed and hands yet productive college career - and we already have him on the roster. The only way I see us drafting a WR on Day 1 is if he was a special teams contributor and I even find that very doubftul.

Giles from Georgia looked very impressive and has size to go with it. Got to remember this is just one game and the pros want make any decision on one game. I read they learn more from the practice sessions than the game. All these guys have a lot of history and films that will be reviewed. It is just a snapshot in time. We do not need another 210 lb RB. We need an every day bone crushing RB who can run three yards across the goal line. The Bus was just named by one of the Sporting New Magazines as the best RB to get you 3 yards and a TD. Pretty darn good for a guy his age. I am still on the White bandwagon myself.

Wow, did YOU? I didn't get the opportunity, but listening to the radio after the game, all he did was have pancake block after pancake block, and dominate almost 100 percent. Both Mayock and Kiper were reporting this. Were they lying?

Yes I watched it three times and he is going to be great but he won't come in and be Orlando Pace year one.

Was Orlando Pace 'Orlando Pace' year one?

I dunno. I heard nothing but huge praise for him, and experts saying he would dominate from day one. Said he's a far better prospect than Gallery coming out, and that he'll probably play as good as Ogden out of the gate. I think that, unless somehow his stock drops after now, he's top-4 guaranteed.

In my opinion, Ferguson did everthing possible to solidify his draft postion. If not raise his stock slightly.

He absolutley owned Kiwi all week. So much so that Kiwi is proburbly going to take a dive down the boards.

At 6'5 295lbs he is a little undersized. But he still has alot of growing up to do. Get him into a pro workout programme and he will be over 300lbs in no time. But you don't want to get him too big as to negate his foot speed and athletism.

I did watch the game. Remember they raved about Hagen's routes and mentioned that the drops were uncharacteristic of his career. Again, the scouts will look at more than just the senior bowl.

For what it's worth I always thought that people around here overvalue Hagen. Still, I'm willing to bet a case of New Castle that he is drafted for the 4th round. That's sheer hyperbloe.

I thought the critisicm of Hagan was he was catching the ball with his body. He's done this periodically throughout his career. A lot of young receivers do this. Hagan should be a fairly productive #2 receiver in the NFL. As long as he has a #1 that can stretch the field vertically.

You know I wish him well so I cant bet on his misfortune. They also referenced the USC game (which I attended) and how he dropped a lot of critical passes. This is a weak year for WRs so I hope he makes out well. He seems like a nice kid. But if you like New Castle you would love Amber Bach.

And just because I can't let sleeping dogs lie, this from GBN (http://www.gbnreport.com/seniorbowlgamereport.html) reinforces my point that a guy I believed was flawless going into the game still has room to grow. He will surely be the # 1 OLmen drafted but it is not out of the question that he slips below #5.

"And the uneven performances at this year's Senior Bowl started right with the game's top prospects. Virginia OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson, a potential top 5 pick this year and the highest-ranked player in Mobile, for example, generally played to that level in Saturday's game. While only - and we say that euphemistically - 297 pounds, Ferguson looked huge, got great arm extension and moved his feet very well, particularly in pass protection. And while no road grader blocking for the run, Ferguson's long first stride allowed him to seal off the defender on most plays where he will lock on and tie up the player in front of him. The Senior Bowl, though, also exposed a couple of flaws in Ferguson's game; on the one hand, Ferguson has a tendency to over commit to the outside setting up in pass protection and has been vulnerable to a quick inside burst. Indeed, in Saturday's game Alabama DE Mark Anderson, who hardly reminds anyone of the second coming of Reggie White - heck he doesn't really remind anyone of the second coming of Antwan Odom - went by Ferguson untouched for an easy QB sack. Ferguson didn't always the initial contact from the DE all that well and on a couple of plays got knocked backwards and off balance, although he was able to recover and cut off the route to the QB."

Well, Scott Wright and myself seem to disagree somewhat:

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/seniorbowl/reports/stock.html

11. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia
Amazing pass blocker who solidified himself as a Top 5 overall selection.

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/seniorbowl/reports/review.html

Offensive Tackles: This was a star-studded group and D'Brickashaw Ferguson of Virginia was the big name. While he didn't look great as a run blocker Ferguson was amazing in pass protection, neutralizing Mathias Kiwanuka all week long.

I still see him as an elite prospect. Whether he slips out of the top 5 will depend on team needs rather than a few tiny issues in his overall game.

Last night I watched the first drive (then the baby started crying...no, wailing--but that's for the EE board I guess), anyway, I had to turn it off after the first possesion by each team.

I thought despite the pick in the end zone, Cutler looked pretty good. He had one throw that he threw off the wrong foot that fell short of the intended receiver, and a couple others that were dropped. Most everything was on target.

Even on the pick--the announcers were saying he shouldn't have thrown it; I disagree. He had Hagan, he just didn't lead him enough. By throwning it slightly behind him, it gave the safety the extra moment to make a play on the ball. If he's thrown it a couple yards out in front both the WR and the S would have to keep running in the same direction and it would have been a TD.

Does he go downhill from there? He must, right?

Let's put this in perspective. This involved a couple of plays in an All Star Game.

These games are valuable in that they give players the opportunity to show everyone "how high up is" regarding their talent.

But if a guy, whose been playing at a high level for his entire college career and who dominates during the prior week's practices whiffs on one play (that's all it was - one play) and some TV commentator adds that he's been vulnerable in the past to a quick inside burst, this doesn't mean that the guy has irrevocable weaknesses.

All it means is that he whiffed on a play or two and perhaps has one or two things to work on.

Ferguson's rating will be based on his potential and body of work throughout his college career and not on a couple of plays in an all star game.
