Well, here we go again.

Hopefully, we can catch some breaks AND figure out some new wrinkles to beat Stanford this time around. They aren't playing as well as last year, when they beat us twice, but are still very physical and very very tough. Not sure what is going on, but they appear to be turning the ball over and getting more penalties this year. Still have Hogan at QB, still have Montgomery at WR, but are having a tougher time on offense.

On D, they are the nation's #1 team in points allowed. Ugh. Even if Kelly were healthy, I don't think the same old spread option plays would work here. Norvell is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat on this one. I am not encouraged by the fact that Stanford held the WSU air raid under 300 yards last week, sacking Halliday 4 times and generally harassing the hell out of him.

So I am going to pick against ASU again this week, but hope for the best. Hopefully, we can catch a few breaks, make some plays, build some mo, and survive.

I agree with you on catching a few breaks. If so, I could see this game being the complete opposite score if ASU does. Going to be hard to stop that offense with our very poor defense. Let's hope Kelly is close to 100% and we can find a way to finally beat the Cardinal

I don't know, last I read, Kelly wasn't fully participating in practice on Sunday. Without the reps his timing, which is critical in this option offense, is going to be off. I don't think he can pull a Carson Palmer here, I fully expect Berco to start until Kelly is ready to go full speed.

That may not be a bad thing, we have to try something different, we are 0-2 doing the same thing.

Yep. Hard to go against your heart for your team. I had that feeling that we had no chance in USC and we stole that game. That was the first time we have won in Pasadena since 1998 (or 99). So lets hope this is the Cinderella year for the Devils.

I would be 100% happy if Berco started this game. Maybe he is what we need to finally beat them??

Is it Saturday yet?

Man, you'd think that since we lost to these guys twice last year, this time would be our turn! Just as a matter of sheer probabilities

I believe last time I checked Stanford is favored by 3 1/2 points.

Would love more than anything to see the Devils put a spanking on Stanford. However, if it went the other way I really wouldn't be surprised at all.
I'll go with a score of:

Stanford - 38
ASU - 24

Their best defensive game of the season. Definitely a nice win.
