Well, here we go again.
Hopefully, we can catch some breaks AND figure out some new wrinkles to beat Stanford this time around. They aren't playing as well as last year, when they beat us twice, but are still very physical and very very tough. Not sure what is going on, but they appear to be turning the ball over and getting more penalties this year. Still have Hogan at QB, still have Montgomery at WR, but are having a tougher time on offense.
On D, they are the nation's #1 team in points allowed. Ugh. Even if Kelly were healthy, I don't think the same old spread option plays would work here. Norvell is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat on this one. I am not encouraged by the fact that Stanford held the WSU air raid under 300 yards last week, sacking Halliday 4 times and generally harassing the hell out of him.
So I am going to pick against ASU again this week, but hope for the best. Hopefully, we can catch a few breaks, make some plays, build some mo, and survive.
