Great news

No injury report today, but during open part if #AZCardinals practice, QB Drew Stanton, DT Ed Stinson on bike. Tyrann Mathieu practicing.

I would think that would be very difficult to do if it was more serious. If he can pedal, he can move and put pressure on it.

And not to start a firestorm or anything but Stanton was pedaling on bike a lot better than I expected given a knee injury 5 days ago.

During the open portion of practice QB Drew Stanton was riding a stationary bike.

Hello....HB practicing is pretty big news, too! All hands need to be on deck for the defense.

Yup, that was what i was doing a few days after mine. Sounds about right. I don see why he can't play against SF.

Peddling a bike and taking massive shots from a head hunting defense are two vastly different things.

I think everyone understands that 100%.

The point is that we all were expecting that he was in bed with his foot elevated but he is rather pedaling on a bike. I am now far more confident that he will be with us for the playoffs.

That's GREAT NEWS!

He's stretching it out and it's not swelling up...that's huge!

Don't count him out for Sea

ESPN put a timetable on it. Cardinals have not. National agencies just guess stuff about us, its like the announcers on thursday night football.

+1

And ESPN is a joke, so in reality there is no timetable.

The reality with the injury is it can heal anywhere from a week to four weeks depending on the person, the specifics of the injury, how much a brace helps, etc. ESPN just went with the max to continue to pile on for whatever damn reason they feel like continually piling on.

I am not a doctor but I would think that is a good thing.

I'm not a doctor either, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

The diagnosis is the Cards will win Sunday, he won't have to play the following week, he'll be making his return the first week after the bye, and his knee will have 78% functionality (more than enough to be effective).

Arians estimated Stanton would miss between two and four weeks, but added that it was difficult to know. Stanton did ride the stationary bike during the open portion of practice, and while he wore a brace, seemed to walk OK considering his injury was just five days old.

Nice.

My guess is that he comes back for our first playoof game, and not any sooner. I don't see why you would play him vs San Fran as it takes away valuable healing time.

I would only consider playing him vs SF if we lose to seattle but even then there isnt much of a difference between being the 5 and 6 seed so probably best he sits either way

Just win Sunday and he can have another 3 weeks off and be ready for our home playoff game!

After a real week of preparation, we should hope for the unexpected and Lindley look like a better QB than Stanton for the playoffs :)
