BA is giving out the minimum amount of info on Stanton's condition. I think they will start Gabbert but want Houston to be unsure of which QB to prepare for. It may be the so called game time decision.

The Texans are not the Seahawks, Peterson to go off again on the ground is my assumption

Gabbert is starting, BA just doesn't want to announce it. Keep Houston guessing.

Cardinals QB Blaine Gabbert took most of the snaps in practice today, coach Bruce Arians said tonight on SiriusXM NFL Radio

Wake up, sheeple! Blaineghazi! Why isn’t Muller looking at Keim’s emails???????

The Arizona Cardinals aren’t ready to make an announcement about their starting quarterback for Sunday, but our own Mike Jurecki is.

The Cardinals insider and co-host of The Blitz with B-Train and Jurecki on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station says sources have informed him that Blaine Gabbert is expected to be the starting quarterback for Arizona when the Cardinals face Houston at NRG Stadium.

Look, Gabbert is starting because they want to see what they have in him and this whole Stanton has a sprain which prevents him from starting is just to save face... much like this team sometimes cites injuries for draft picks not seeing the field in my opinion, because I have seen this way too often to think otherwise with Arians and Keim so far

I heard that Carson Palmer is actually READY TO START Sunday, but Keim and Arians told him to stand down.

WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS????????

The wit has long expired on Blaineghazi, come up with a new routine because I still think you can go far because I do not see Gabbert being more than a capable backup to replace Stanton which is what I am hoping for :)

You do realize K9 that if Gabbert has a good game and comes out with a win you are going to have a lot of people on this board giving you a rash of crap.

Actually, I fully expect Gabbert, if he plays, to complete like 58% of his passes for 6.5 YPA with a TD and an INT. If people want to take a victory lap on that when there's no film of Gabbert in the offense, more power to 'em.

Drew Stanton might not have been that bad last week; people are undervaluing how good Seattle's defense is. According to FootballOutsiders' DYAR metric, Stanton had a top 5 performance on the week. Seattle has the #7 defense in the NFL in DVOA.

Kind of like people taking a victory lap on Adrian Peterson after the Bucs. There's an advantage to going into a new system where no one has film on you (and you're playing a bad team). Houston's defense is 15th in DVOA overall, and 16th against the pass. In bad news for Peterson, they're 6th against the run.
