Before any of you go into an apoplectic rage over this thread...

hear me out.

I don't think Skelton's the savior of the Cardinals; at least not at this point in his development. At this point I am not certain if he is capable as a regular starter, but the game next week is verses the Philadelphia Eagles and Andy Reid.

Kolb is not brimming with confidence right now and if anyone knows how to attack and exploit the weaknesses in Kolb's game it is going to be Reid and the Eagles.

Face it, the Cardinals don't have much of a chance in Philidelphia anyway. So why not let the Eagles think that they will be playing against Kolb and switch them up with Skelton.

 What's there to lose?

I agree, but to give Kolb's injured foot more time to heal as well. We don't need to have a $25-60 million dollar Dizzy Dean on our hands.

If you (a) feel that, at the very least, KK and Skelton are close in ability and (b) KK's toe/foot isn't 100 percent healed, a decision to sit out Kolb should be a no-brained.

I would hope the only reason Kolb sits is if he is hurt. If it is because we are afraid of what the Eagles will do to him we really have a problem.

+1, but then again, maybe this is the game that Kolb had circled on his calendar and awakes the warrior in him.

Still, if that toe isn't 100%, sit him this week.

They may as well start Skelton for the remaining games. This season is shot anyway; let Kolb sit for the rest of the year and learn the offense.

I might go into a rage if they don't start Skelton next week.

BTW, does anyone else think Skelton looks a lot like Ben Affleck?

I don't care. I don't have confidence in either one.

Bottom line right now. Cards with Kolb 1-6. With Skelton 1-0. Start him until when/if he throws up a stinker like Kolb has in Minny.

If Kolb is healthy then he plays. It is pretty simple.

Who is really "healthy" this time of year? They are all banged up somewhat. It will be a coaching decision and if Kolb does not start they will say he is not healthy.

Beating a bad rams team like PP 21 did does not equate to Skelton being the new starter wildbb let's get serious! The rams are probably the worst team we played all year and we had t have a punt return in OT and a terrible decision from the opponent not to kick the game winning FG to even beat them hardly speaks for our qb play.

What does it say about our running game when Skelton was the leading Cardinal rusher? By your logic, we should have had 200 yards rushing.

Why? Why is it as simple as that?

What does Kolb offer that Skelton doesn't? Understand that I am not stating that Skelton is better than Kolb. But what is one facet of Kolb's game that is stronger than what we have seen of Skelton?

As I see it, they are pretty equal, except that Skelton does have better pocket presence.

And Philly should have a better idea of Kolb's weaknesses than they do of Skelton's.

Someone tell me - What does Kolb offer that Skelton does not?

What are you even saying paso fino? Did I say anything about rushing? I said PP won that game not Skelton our D and special teams won the game period! We did not let them get into endzone all day, blocked FG, punt return for the win how on earth should Skelton become the new starter in your world? Oh don't forget the back to back safties he took!
