To Sterns credit he hasn't given the "I can't talk about that" excuse to dodge questions. He is choosing his words very carefully.

The whole system of officiating needs an overhall. If Stern is not willing to make some adjustments he should be fired. Of course he should have been fired a long time ago.

I cannot understand why reporters don't pound him on this. As long as officiating is so horribly inconsistent, they simply cannot police intentionally bad calls.
