SF49ers.com reports free agent TE Steve Bush (Cardinals) is scheduled to visit and workout for the San Francisco 49ers Tuesday, June 8.

What year? I was 1990, Bush was a couple years behind me I think.

He'll be picked up by somebody with his gritty skills, good work ethic and versatility (can LS, can play fullback too) it won't be too long till he lands in a NFL roster.

I was 1990, too. He was a Soph, when we graduated. He played on Varsity that year. I've followed his career, ever since.

I was at UofA for a year and I took Continental Literature with Paul Shields. He was in camp with the Cards a few years ago and was released during the last cut.

Yeah I was hoping he'd have stuck that year with the Cards.

I remember Shields! He really made an impression on me in preseason. I was probably the most surprised about that cut over the years than any other after seeing his preseason games...

And he never got picked up by anybody at any level. I didn't understand that either.

I guess teams felt if he is going to be cut by the Cardinals than he must not be that good. He sure got quite a few yards in his limited play though and looked better than any FB I saw play in preseason...

We had some good athletes that came through that part of the Paradise Valley School District during that time. Richard Jefferson, basketball, went to Eagle Ridge Elementary with my youngest brother.

Yup. My daughter is a friend of Paul Shields daughter. The Shields lives somewhere in the Mesa area.

This says he was picked up by the Chiefs but is inactive?

His only NFL stats time were with the Colts prior to the Cards.
