No surprise, but Steve will be inducted in the Ring of Honor on October 30th. Suns.com has a nice section devoted to it.

Would be nice to bring him back as an assistant. Hell, I'd rather have him on the roster than Price. I wonder if the Suns could keep him upright for 10 minutes a game.

It's nice to hear some good news.

Here is a comment from Robert Sarver taken from an article at azcentral dated 8-24-15.

“Actually, it was a pretty simple decision,” Suns Managing Parnter Robert Sarver said in a video released by the organization with Monday’s Ring of Honor announcement. “Steve is just one of the best players to ever put on a Phoenix Suns uniform. Two-time MVP and really the face of our franchise for eight years. Just really proud of all the accomplishments he’s had. To me, it was kind of a no-brainer that he belongs up in our Ring of Honor.”

Steve Nash certainly deserves the honor.

As soon as I saw the Ring of Honor game announcement, it took all of 6 minutes to get my tickets.

I instantly looked for tickets too and sure seems like they spiked up in price in a matter of seconds. Saw tickets in the bottom level about 20 rows up going for $265 per ticket. Yea, no thanks

Aren't they doing that "dynamic pricing" thing now, where some computer algorithm is constantly changing the price according to real-time demand vs. supply?

We'll know when we play against Philly... if the tickets cost a wooden nickle then the algorithm is working fine.

Many sites not only do that but if you refresh your own screen the prices sometimes go up. It's happen to the wife and I on many sites, where if we don't book and refresh...higher price because they know you want it.

Dynamic ticket pricing is an interesting concept. Started (I think) by an Austin based company, Qcue. They did their beta testing for the SF Giants a while back.

This also happen to us the last time we booked Disney on Ice tickets for my daughter. We got one rate and the wife didn't book. She went in again and the rate was higher. I cleared her browser cache and boom...original rate was back to where it was. Although as I have been told by others sometimes the rate goes up if several people inquire about a particular section/seat as it's perceived as higher demand. However, the browser trick or booking from a different PC has worked for us.

A very sad scenario indeed.

I tell myself it has something to do with his children living in California.

Apparently Steve has a good relationship with Steve Kerr and Rick Welts. I dont think that can be said for the Suns front office.
