Sounds yummy to me. They should eave the fat in it though.

Ground beef is grosser than flank steak.

It can be. But yet is so more versatile.

Hamburgers
Meatballs
Meatloaf
Salisbury Steak

The list just goes on and on. :D

You should try ground turkey as a substitute for ground beef. Just as versatile and tasty and healthier for you

They certainly don't need anymore estrogen in their systems. :D :D

Hear that Jersey?

:trout:

And the stuff they feed the animals you all eat is just so healthy.

I only eat soy about three times a week.

Everything in moderation, people. :)

You can make both of them taste good.

But you should only eat super lean ground beef (or ground turkey). The 80/20 junk is ridiculous...go look at the fat & protein content of 80/20 vs 93/7 ground beef sometime. It's worth the extra buck a pound.

Ill take 80/20 over that lean, flavorless crud any ole day.

Sorry man...I'm with you on that for most things, but not on ground beef. It's not a steak, where marbling is key. It's not the main course, so it's basically a filler to begin with. It isn't bacon, so it doesn't have the taste to die for.

It's ground beef...simple and dumb. I prefer to have more protein and less fat in my meatballs, meat sauce, meatloaf, lasagna, etc. The taste isn't coming from the ground beef, it's coming from the surroundings. Let the surroundings provide the fat and tasty calories, and let the ground beef provide protein and that's about it.

Meatballs are best with a mixture of pork, veal, beef. If cooking at home, I probably would get the leaner ground beef for burgers, but when eating out I want the 80/20.

I don't eat much ground beef outside of burgers. Not at all actually. I don't dig the texture anymore.

You don't.

The fat gives you the flavor. A good burger is a mix between the 80/20 and the 93/7, IMO.

I don't what?
You don't want the 93/7 for hamburgers. Super dry...not good at all. You want a good, moist burger, you have to have the fattier stuff.

We use 93/7 for everything else, though.

You are not the boss of me. :) I can make them taste good. If you don't cook them to death, they are fine.

I mostly eat burgers out anyway though.
