I was so upset last night, correction...I was p!ssed. I'm a professional artist so I went and painted till the sun came up and after all of that this is what was made clear. Eric Green did not lose that game by not jumping on that fumble. The whole defense played their ares off last night against a good Niner offense- Gore and Vernon Davis where held in check. When was the last time one would think our LBs would hold their own against a TE like Davis? We have a running game. Russ Grimm has done some work and this young line is only going to get better...that undrafted center from UTs play deserves some admiration consider the circumstances. Levi Brown was worth that first round pick. Edge is still a top ten back and regardless of what that guy has said or will say- he brings it every Sunday. If there is one person who lost this game, it was Matt Leinart. Guys, his mind was clearly not on this game. In my opinion, he was the main cause for our WRs having a bad night and not just the lights out play of the Niner secondary. I don't know who she is Matt, but she is not worth throwing your football career down the toilet for. My last concern is Bobcats's daughter, I hope the surgery went well, she has been in the back of mind every since his post.

It's dissapointing that we didn't land on that fumble, but after reflecting on it I'm not even mad that we lost. I feel better about the team as a whole sans a few things like penalties and the ability to recover a fumble. The O-Line looked better in run blocking and Terrelle Smith is a BIG help. The defense was fine until Clancy went prevent on us. Matt didn't look too hot, compounded with the fact that SF had effective blitzes.

I think that if we can cut out the penalties and stop playing not to lose, we'll be fine.

With that said, this is a typical Cardinals loss.

As fans with a new coaching staff, I know it sucks following a franchise that keeps changing coaches but we really need to give these guys time before we judge them. And just maybe, Bill Walsh had something to do about Green not falling on that fumble.

The biggest things that I am upset with, is Matt Leinart's play, and the playcalling.

I thought the play calling wasn't much better anything else that we have seen.

I was pleasantly suprised by our defense, and our coverage special teams.

Amen. I was very very surprised at the defense and most especially the tackling. The Niners were not breaking many tackles (nor were the Cards) and if the Cards can keep this up with any consistency, the team will be in games all year and the offense will eventually get on track...too many weapons for them to continue to struggle

I don't think Eagle fans are giving up on their team right now after one loss and any thing a Eagle fan can do...I can do just as well or better. This team did not quit last night and as a fan who represents them, I will follow their lead no matter how painful. If one thinks how bad a fan feels right now, think how this team feels. They where so close to a road win against a divisional opponent

I thought the D played well all game. I just do not understand on the last drive why you play a non aggressive zone with no blitzing on the first couple plays. In my heart I knew they were going to come out and play Prevent (Winning) I just could not believe it. If its not broke dont fix it, when we were playing the rest of the game they could do nothing...so we back off and give them some momentum...then they think they have a chance and it was all over.

I agree EndSone, prevent defense is stupid and seldom ever seems to work. You run that kind of defense when your up by two scores where the constant yardage helps kill clock and not your chance of winning

On that last frive when a saw the Cards set up I knew we were in trouble. Hopefully Whiz will not let this happen again unless we are up by 14 with 209 left to go.

I will take this team all season long. With the exception of Matt. The rest of the team played a great game. More than I could have hoped for. I felt, for the whole game, that Matt's passes were off and he looked like he was having problems making decissions. I guess he said as much in the post game press confrence. Otherwise, I am good with the Cardinals.

I feel OK. The parts of this team that were supposed to suck were ok.

I guess my problem is I look at the upcoming Schedule and think we really can't afford to give away any games?

Then we are going to have to win one that we shouldn't win (on paper).

Exactly and this upcomming game is a great place to start that.

No one can really afford to give away games, the team did do that, never good but they were very competitive, got to suck it up.

I have hope they will for the first time in a long time.
