Just shows the stupidity of America in general, who would rather watch mindless dribble like CSI: Miami cause it shows a little tail, rather than a well written great show like Studio 60. I told my brother right from the start its a great show and they will cancel it to put on some dumb crap people would rather watch! Ridiculous!

You get angry at the strangest things

I like the show, but I am getting a bit tired of the over the top preaching from Sorkin on the religious aspect of it. There is just too much of it for my tastes and I wish he'd move on to something else.

Wow...interesting it got picked up for full season. I was really hoping that Friday Night Lights would get its Monday spot after Heroes where it got better ratings than 60 and fit in much better after Heroes. Maybe they will swap spots later?

Liked this past episode's part about the writers leaving.

Still a good show.

Heroes and Studio 60 are my 1-2 combo on Monday nights. Love the show. Great acting, and great writing.

Sports Night, West Wing, and Studio 60. Sorkin is just plain good.

This last episode was so bad.

"Tell her a lie, that is the way to go!"

Locked on the roof? Wow, didn't see it coming.

Cell phones don't work on the roof, but they do INSIDE the building.

Did Sorkin take the episode off or something?

i agree. way too cheesy and predictable. as soon as they realized they were locked one the roof (which was probably about 10 minutes after the viewing audience figured it out), i kept saying "no way they don't reach for they're cell phones first thing." that said, i still love the show.

Plus she says they are 3 stories up, if it is a 3 story building means your about 36 feet from the ground, seems to me you could lean over the side and yell down to the doorman to get someone up to open the damn door.

This episode was just about setting up the next. Sort of a wast of time I agree. Sometimes this show takes 2 shows to say things that could be said in one. I will say thought MP seems to get better and better as the show moves along.

Well it looks like the show might be over. It is going on hiatus, and may never return (even though NBC says it may return in March). I for one enjoyed it, and along with Heroes (which I only marginally like) these were the only two new shows I followed.

Whether or not it was on hiatus, the wife and I removed it from our season pass list.

Done.

I actually really like the show. I just wish the writing was more consistant. It seems like every other episode is good.

Studio 60 will finish out the season. They already ordered a full 22 episodes. So unless they want to pay Sorkin for doing nothing, at the very least I think the show will finish out at least through this season.

Here we go.....

"NBC has set a return date for "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

The Aaron Sorkin drama, which arrived last fall as the season's most hyped show and vanished from NBC's schedule amidst sinking ratings, will move to Thursday nights at 10 p.m. starting on May 24, at least according to the network's website for the show.

Not-so-coincidentally, that Thursday is the day after the end of the crucial May sweeps period and it comes a week after the upfront presentation at which NBC will reveal to advertisers whether or not "Studio 60" has a future on the network next season.

The show's chances for renewal are believed to be relatively slim.

Savvy viewers will recall that this is a return of sorts for "Studio 60." Last May, NBC announced that the series would air on Thursday nights at 9 p.m., only to run scurrying to Mondays after ABC moved "Grey's Anatomy" into the same time period.

"Studio 60" had a solid premiere, but by the time February rolled around the series was drawing only around 7 million same-day viewers (factoring in DVR usage gave the series a boost). The last original "Studio 60" aired back on February 19, before NBC shelved it a week earlier than expected for "The Black Donnellys."

Of course, "The Black Donnellys" failed to even premiere big and NBC pulled the plug on that Paul Haggis-created drama after only six episodes, replacing it with "The Real Wedding Crashers," which also didn't exactly dominate the time period.

NBC has yet to announce its specific intentions for the truncated "Studio 60" return. Six episodes remain unaired."

Any further word on this show's future? I really enjoy the show overall, but this weeks episode was really good.

It's gone. Unless another network picks it up say goodbye. I really liked this show but I wasn't enough viewer ship. :D

Bummer

I really liked the one with Allison Janey in it playing herself as guest host of Studio, prop guys walk, take the cue card guys with them, funny results, the machine gun bullets skipping from their own skit to a completely different one was classic.

However the last episode I watched was depressing and sort of blah, with the exception of dude's lady trouble. Date to Hawaii, no date, new date, old date, no date.

The episode tonight was the best of the series IMHO.

It's to bad episodic television is not given a chance to develop and succeed now a days.
