Suggs and the 40 time-Jerry Rice was too slow as well.

If this 40 time hurts his stock then the league really is warped. Watch the game film and you see a demon out there with terrific initial quickness, explosive burst, terrific instincts. Who cares if his 40 time is 4.7 or 4.8. Jerry Rice lasted until the 17th pick because he was only a 4.7 guy even though nobody on the field could ever catch him. Emmitt Smith was taken late in the first round because his measurables were not up to snuff with Blair Thomas. Roosevelt Colvin lasted until the 4th round because he ran a 4.85 40 time.

I hope for the Cards sake the Texans and Bears take great stock in the 40 time.

Seriously, those anti-Suggs threads are ridiculous. These times mean almost nothing.

Do you understand these guys are hand-timed? Do you have any idea how inaccurate that is?

Watch him play and tell me he's not fast enough. I just think it's ridiculous that the guy was a superstar 3 days ago and now he's a piece of **** who no one should touch with a 10-foot pole because of a hand-timed 40 at a workout.

I agree. I hope Sugg's times make the top 5 shy away. I would take him in a heart beat.

On another note...Millian (sp) was checking out Sugg's workout. The Detroit Free Press (www.freep.com) had reported that they are considering other choices besides Rogers. Maybe covering their bases if they trade down. The Lions need alot of talent.

(I am originally from Detroit so I do suport the Lions. Except when they play the Cards...)

I don't think that the posters on this board are saying Suggs is not a good pick at 6, but more saying he should not go in the top 5. The Cards will take Suggs if he is available what would be better if they taded down and he was still there. The Cards could hold off on signing Holliday or make a move for another DE until they are sure they will not get Suggs.
