I laughed too.
The generally sad state of this franchise is not perception....it's reality.
Personally i'm not embarrassed that we're not a contender anymore(it happens,we'll rebound from this).....i'm embarrassed at mgmt's lack of guts to just take one in the chin and start over... instead of this mentality of aging retreads thru past success and as a result running in place in the name of the almighty $dollar.
That's what makes me feel ashamed to be a SUNS fan right now.

They'll dimantle next year. The point of re-tooling is to try to get as far out of the lottery as possible. It's going to be a little more difficult without a decent C but if we land in the #14-20 range, management will be happy. They could decide not to re-sign Amare and trade Nash, but then who would want to sign here? Well see what happens inthe summer of '10.

I need some light so I hope your right... about Clark. I haven't seen Clark play. Sometimes I just grow frustrated with the Suns FO decision making.

Sometimes???? SOMETIMES???? Sarver and KErr are the biggest joke in NBA history.. Im sure everyone is fed up with them all the time.. Kerr needs to quit making crap up about how "Shaq helped the team," or how "Lopez is going to be a star," and just shut up.. Kerr.. you made a mistake trading for Shaq.. At least have the decency to admit that.

The Suns do need to get younger but not necessarily at the center or PF position although it would be extremely nice for the future. The youth is there if not the talent at these positions except for Amare (who has both talent and youth). Hopefully he will show he will return close to pre-injury form.

If the Suns are offering the veteran minimum for the 13th player I guess the Suns might be looking for any viable leftovers (young or old) who can play C-F. The Suns need another C-F who can rebound and hit the mid-range shot. Also some defense would be nice. This description does not sound like a veteran minimum type player. I don't think Skinner is the answer.

Unfortunately, even after all the savings of getting rid of Shaq's contract, (including giving up one of our few assets for no value) we still are trying to fill a STARTING position with minimum money. Gotta love it.
