We need Martin to start going crazy
I think Colorado wrote the blueprint for defending the Devils. Hurley better get back to drawing board quick or they’re gonna lose a lot more.

Yep. They figured out how to beat us. Time to evolve a bit. Its tough without a strong inside game.

Devils squeaked out a win today but Lawrence played some big minutes. He brings a lot more to the table than Mitchell especially the inside scoring they’ve been missing.

Boy, they sure needed that win today against Oregon State. Glad to see them pull it out. Hope they can get on a winning streak.

Yeah that's an interesting one his initial recruitment turned out to be only Nike schools at the end and he picked SC over UA. Then he turns out to allegedly be player 8 in the FBI case as TJ said. His family has denied it but I think he decommitted from SC because they told him they weren't going to take him, and let him then publicly decommit.

So my guess is unless the FBI gives the NCAA clear info, he probably won't be suspended for very long if at all because ASU wasn't involved it was USC that was with him. Allegedly someone in Cherry's family, not him, is the one they think took money.

My guess is any recruit that was named in that case and is still in HS is going to wind up at another school and be allowed to play, Quinerly is going through his re recruitment right now too.

Should add, Josh Gershon says that USC was literally told by the NCAA they could not recruit Cherry and that's why Cherry decommitted. Because he changed schools to Foothills Christian, he was suddenly at an Adidas backed school and that led to him taking a look at ASU, he liked the way they played and pulled the trigger.

He's an interesting kid I really liked him at one point, really wanted UCLA to get him but he is a bit cocky and can be a selfish player at times.

But very talented kid, can shoot, he's athletic, he'll block shots, assuming the NCAA stuff goes away because he didn't go the school who allegedly paid his family member, he could be a great get for ASU.

Etop has been spending a lot of time with ASU lately. That dude is a shady MFer. If I’m an ASU fan, given the landscape of college basketball, I’d be worried.

If he and Compton Magic were doing things wrong the school that's going to get nailed of course would be UCLA with Leaf, Ike, Hill etc.

Nobody really knows what's going to happen I do think the primary NCAA issue is they don't want kids going to the school that FBI story indicates paid for the kid.

So is Casey Jacobson deliberately trying to sound like Mark Jackson or what? He bothers me a little bit lol.

ASU down by 2 at Halftime. Tra Holder is 0-7. Need him to get it going asap to win this in the 2nd half. ASU has to be firing on all cylinders to be good it seems.

ASU strictly relies on jumpers...while other teams just pound them in the paint. It's not good.

Stanford is eating ASU's lunch in the paint...pretty sure they have 50 points in the paint, and the game isn't even over.

Yeah

Their shortcomings are being exposed in conference play but the program is definitely moving in the right direction.

If nothing else the non conference wins may help with recruiting.

Also fans are showing that they’ll show up to see a quality product. Wells Fargo has been rockin for a few games this year. That place can get loud.

Hopefully the Devils can right the ship enough to still make the Tourney.

Yep

White’s pretty much all they’ve got.
Lawrence might develop into a good player but he hasn’t shown much in his first few games.

I think ASU has some very talented players, but the team as a whole is not as good as they led us to believe early in the year.

The composition of the team isn't what Hurley ideally is after... "Guard U" is nice and all, but in Pac-12 play and later in the tournament - if they get there, you need much better balance. You need high-quality talent and depth with regard to your bigs. We don't have one high-quality big, let alone legit depth. This places far too much pressure on our guards who are now facing far better competition and being contested like they weren't, prior to conference play.
