Wow, in the 94th minute? Wow! Congratulations, guys, that's a HUGE opening win. Might be the difference between relegation and staying up, that game. Or...could there be a Wigan-type run in the works? Hmmm...

My boys excelled as well...ah, the Magpies finally beating the Wanderers. It was a good day in the Premiership, lads. A good day.

:fans: :billthecat: :fans:

I dont think Spurs played as well as they could have done but the end of the day you can only play as well as the other side lets you and i was really pleased witht the way we went about it yesterday.

we need to work on set plays a bit more and not give the ball away quite a cheap as we did at times and we might be ok.

its a marathon not a sprint but thats one hell of a start.

Wow! Reading was a man down for the last 10 min or so. They had no business getting a draw. Their keeper was great.

Reading 'keeper = American Marcus Hahnemann, good for him.

Eh. He's a bit long-in-the-tooth. I'd like to see us get someone with a bit more pace, but he might have something left.

Great quotes from the gaffer. Ya gotta love Keano. :D

Keane has also launched a scathing attack on today's hen-pecked Premier League stars, insisting they are not a patch on the kinds of characters with whom he spent the majority of his playing career.

He says he has no time for players who allow their career paths to be plotted by their so-called WAGs, and who are more likely to be directed by the quality of the local boutiques than by the football club.

on a free he will be a good move to strengthen the squad.

he has no pace now but holds the ball up well and knows where the goal is.

we still need a quality player up front though who will start week in week out. Mido is off the Boro of all places by the looks of it.

What an idiot. Chooses the Smoggies over the Black Cats.

Great result by Keano.
If will build the confidence of the team and Keano's managerial career.
They have a win which is really hard to come by for newly promoted teams.

Questions are can they keep it up for the entire season?

Is Keano tactically sufficient for the premier league?

How will Keano do with transfers?

Now what will Sunderland play like against top teams like his old mentor Fergie?

I hate Spurs and glad for Sunderland to stick it to them.
Spurs just lost against Everton so maybe Spurs aren't quality this season.
