Massive 3 points on the road!

Great win but at a cost. Meyler doing the same knee 3 weeks after coming back is a gutter. Another 6 months out is awful for him and i really worry for his playing days even at such a young age.

Zenden sent off will see him miss the Mags (Notts County) game on Sat but will so many injuries at the moment its getting serious. Cattermole is out for a month too so we will have no ball winner come the Mags (Scum) game a week on Sunday (+6 other first teamers). Not that it matters....we could be the 1970 Brazil team and we would still get turned over off that lot :bang:

What, Reg isn't working for the MoM any more? Didn't know he played the footy. Figured him for a Quidditch bloke ;)

What a cracking match. I feel quite disappointed not to get the full 3, but if you had asked me we'd draw 1-1 at Sunderland without one of the best young strikers in the Premiership, I'd have taken it hands down. Sunderland really had nothing going for them, but we inexplicably kept pressing forward. I kept yelling at them to get back behind the ball, but they wouldn't listen lol

Ah well...you're welcome, Sundy pukes :D

What and awful match :pullhair:, two sides playing very much below par. That really is the worst i have seen us at home for about 3 years. The Mags lost 2 points today (thank you Joey B for getting us the extra 5 minutes added) and we played our 'get out of jail free card'.

There was loads of fighting today which is to be expected but there was a bit of trouble amongst ourselves which is sad, but just folk so disappointed as to how bad we played today.

My one plus point other than going mental we scored in the 94th minute was that on the way home i met up with a few of my Mag mates who thought they they played really well..... will let me sleep better tonight anyway.

A winning draw if ever there was one thoug i guess :|

Yeah, Barton was kind of going crazy, but he had every right to. He has a bad rep, for good reason, but he was really screwed on that card. The announcers even said, after all the rough tackling and hitting and all going on, he got a card for THAT?

Ah well. A disappointing result after the fact, but if it had been offered to me before the game, I'd have taken it, what with Carroll being out of the match.

That came out of nowhere. I guess Villa and their new American owners have turned his head. Probably offered to double his wages.

If Villa's bid is really £18million then sell him.
Yep, bu-bye.

Michael Bradley to Sunderland?

Sunderland is lining up a transfer bid for Bradley, sources with knowledge of the deal told Fox Soccer on Monday. Bradley came off the bench as a 71st-minute substitute in Borussia Moenchengladbach's 1-0 win against Nuremberg despite having been a regular starter for the club the entire season.

Bradley is one of Sunderland's replacement targets for captain Lee Cattermole, who has been battling a back injury and is believed to be a transfer target of Liverpool.

Hey, Darren. F-U! What have Villa ever done? He's talking them up like they are Man U.

Yep, it's all about the money, so just say so. I hope AV are relegated (even though I know they won't be).

Are you guys serious? AV paid 32 MILLION DOLLARS for Bent--that is one of the most ridiculous sums I've ever seen. He's not even worth a quarter of that. The original thought was that he was gotten for 18 million pounds, but it turns out it's more like 24 million.

That's a great chunk of change for Sundy.

Yeah, although I actually think Bent is better than many give him credit for that is a crap load of money. Take it and run!

Blackpool 1-2 Sunderland

Great win today after everything that went on this week! It obviously meant a lot to Bruce and the players to win today the way they were celebrating with the supporters after the match.

HA'WAY!

Sunderland should go after Arsenal striker, Carlos Vela on loan. Isn't Gyan the only striker left on that team? He and Vela should make a great combo.

i think we would be better off taking a stonger player than Vela. We need a few bodies though thats for sure. We have eight players out right now and no options up front with Campbell and Welbeck both out and Bent gone. David Healy cant even get a game for the reserves these days.

His injuries are indeed a concern, but he's got world class talent and can make the Sunderland attack more dynamic with his creativity.

Calm down. That isn't a term that should be thrown around lightly.

Don't be so defensive, Milgod. Im going off what Wenger has said about him.

'He'll quickly be a world-class striker when he adds that to his game. Some day we all get our chance - the target is to take that chance when you get it, and he has the potential to do that.'
