Suns twitter twatter should stop!

Hope they blow it up. I will watch regardless. Suns have started over many times before so there's nothing to be afraid of. It's not like we're giving away our star player to a same conference team the year after we went to the finals.

Moving on from James Jones is near the top of list. Too bad the Suns do not have another GM in place right now.

They need to make some tough players personnel decisions that will effect their future.

Bartlestein could step up. He's seemed really bright and his dad is an agent as well so I imagine he's well educated on the NBA system.

If you want to restore your faith in Suns Twitter then visit Suns groups on Facebook. Saying the majority of fans there view the league like NBA2k would be a compliment. I'm always dumbfounded when there'll be top posts about signing Curry and then multiple reinforce it with ridiculous logic.

I want the Suns to make intelligent personnel decisions going forward. Some of their past trades have been horrible. Personally. I don't have a lot of confidence in James Jones negotiating future trades.

I'd like to see what Golden State is offering in a hypothetical trade for Durant. I would hope the Suns have some top basketball minds involved.

Golden State appears to have done a complete turnaround after the Luka trade. They went from not wanting to give up anything in terms of future assets in a trade to allegedly becoming more aggressive. Even taking it as far as asking about Booker.

We aren't trading Booker to GS. If we are moving him it needs to be to Houston, they have our picks plus a bunch of young players.

I just don't understand this crap about we are either going to trade for butler or trade KD.

That sounds schizophrenic to me. Either you understand this team is nowhere close or you don't. Do they think Jimmy Butler can perform miracles??

Well I think it is moot anyway, I don't think Beal is approving any trade.

It's pretty simple. We aren't winning anything with our big 3. If we can turn Beal into Butler, we'd give it a go. But if Beal is immovable, we try to get value for KD and try to rebuild on the fly around Booker while letting Beal play out until his contract becomes moveable in his final year.

You can rail on what the fans think but it doesn’t matter what we think. It’s what the organization thinks.

but that's a very thin outline. i'd like to hear more details on anyone's game-plan of how we "build around Booker" again...

1. Hire his 8th coach?
2. Re-hire a replacement for the pg we got this season, only to have him still play Booker-ball in the final 2 minutes of close games despite shooting 18%.
3. Find and sign a true leader for him to play with because that's not his thing.
4. Replace his Hall-of-Fame teammate for another? Name 2 superstars our non-All-Star, Devin Booker, can win with? (because it will take two. Ishbia had the right idea, but didn't pick right)
5. Keep spending the most money in NBA history on a new roster and hope they can make the playoffs and not be swept?
6. Hope we can develop rookies fast enough to offset the already diminishing value on his super-max salary?
7. Hope his legs not only hold up, but get younger so he can get off shots against double teams and not be the worst ranked defensive player in Suns history?

i could go on, but all of this has been said, ignored, and irrationally attacked before.

i'm honestly eager to hear someone's Rebuild-Around-Booker plan as we head into the trade deadline!

No it is not simple, we aren't winning anything by swapping Butler out for Beal. That is rearranging chairs on the titanic.

Well, we were two games from winning the title with Booker as our best player and at that time it seemed very doable, so I am not going to say it is impossible.

With that said, he does not seem to be able to will a team to victory in the playoffs and probably should be a #2 guy.

I guess I would say the model would be the Celtics. Problem is he is too old to build the team around him at this point with the Beal contract stuck around us like an anchor and no draft picks.

So you are most likely correct that it can't be done, and our best move would be to trade him. Unfortunately I just don't think Ishbia is going to ever do that.

Now that Book has the Suns record he will be traded. Trade everyone and start the rebuild. We are far from being one player away. We are like 3 players away from contending with the top teams.

That is VERY suspicious. Maybe a KD deal really is happening.

Agreed, but did you not notice Ishbia going out of his way to wish Book many more successful years in Phoenix yesterday? That doesn't sound like a guy even considering trading him.

indeed, there is absolutely no plan to trade him. Imo, they made that decision 3 weeks ago, because the hype has been way overdone since then, regardless of the scoring record (Durant is approaching the more significant 30k mark in history). And, a couple of weeks ago, there was some panic. KRay started talking about "the nonsense" of social-media criticism of Booker during games and the other hosts started emphasizing how "he does so much more on the court but score".

once they decided to ride it out with Book, the campaign also became to get him to the All-Star game

but the consensus around the league was that CP3 was the Suns MVP and a league MVP candidate. And even if you're right, though he sparked up the past 2 weeks in the hunt for the record, Booker's two playoff meltdowns and an All-Star away from still being that player.
