Before Kevin Durant shot down a trade to the Warriors, the Suns were set to receive Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga, multiple first and second-round picks, plus swaps, per
@ShamsCharania
.Phoenix was prepared to accept the trade before Durant stepped in.

wtf, BOTH Butler and Kiminga?

This FO is stupid.

I would have liked the Warriors offer if Durant had been willing to go there.

Haven't seen what the Timberwolves were offering.
It would have to be centered around either Rudy Gobert or Julius Randle just to be able to match salaries, but given KD's position my guess is that it would have most likely been Randle + Divencenzo and filler/picks

That looks like the math.

Truthfully, I wish the Warriors trade would have been accepted. It looks like another wasted season for the Suns.

They minimally need another rotation 4/5 to be relevant.

We are going to regret this. I don't like Butler but him Kuminga and a bag of picks is way better than KD.

Agreed, given the choice between Minnesota or GSW/Miami's package I think the latter was the clear winner.

The issue is Durant didn't want the trade. It likely doesn't happen without his approval.

The Warriors wouldn't want an unhappy player.

They were saying today KD didn't have a problem with what transpired with GS. However, there is rumbling that he had a problem with the last day of the trade deadline because it sounded like the Suns were fielding a ton of calls to see if they could find another team. Have no clue if that is true but man....KD's attitude over the last part of the season is going to let us know.

How I wish the Suns could move on from Kevin Durant and get back to team basketball.

Better yet, they should have never traded for him.

Suns basketball is not fun to watch anymore.

Um no. He doesn't have a no trade clause.

If the warriors would still make the deal that is all that matters.

Think the trade still had a chance to work until they made the Beal trade.

It takes two to tango. If Durant didn't want to go to the Warriors, I doubt the Warriors would want him under these conditions.

If the above is true, this front office is brain dead. That would have been an incredible haul for KD.

Also kinda blows up the idea that he’s a negative asset. Once this season’s over, we need to get a haul for him. And Booker.

Who cares. He is gone. That is the only move we can realistically make.

The really bad part is GS has a connection to him. There is a very good chance that is the best offer we will ever get.

If they offered that much - I think you are wrong. He would adapt and we all know it.

We don't know that.

Did you approve of the way the Mavericks traded Doncic?
