Halfway through the first quarter, the Suns already down by double digits, giving up at least seven second chance points, 3 TO's, and shooting 2-12. Seems like the team has written the game off as irrelevant as well.

1st quarter offense shooting percentage was around 18%, it's now up 35 percent but the Sonics are shooting around 55%.

It's really mind-boggling why this team plays so bad without Nash, especially on defense. It's like watching a completely different team.

I'm not a big complainer about officiating, but this game is rediculous. The Sonics are getting away with a ton of body contact. I watched a 2 minute span where Wilcox, with two hands in Marions back shove him towards the out of bounds, after Marion got the rebound and NO CALL. Then Marion tries to pass it off since there was no call, the Sonics steal it come down and miss, Wilcox AGAIN shoves Amare this time in the back to get the rebound and yet again NO CALL. Then the Suns come down, I believe it was Barbosa drives the lane, and Wilcox grabs Barbosas left elbow and Barbosa loses the ball, Sonics steal it again. Yes, I know the Suns aren't shooting well. And Yes, I know they are still getting to the line, but with as fast as Burke has been tallying up fouls, Wilcox and Collison should have just as many. I watched the both of them foul Amare across the arms with no calls, numerous times during the first half. I don't think the Suns are writing this game off. I think it's more on the lines of D'Antoni doesn't want other players to get hurt the way the refs are calling this game.

Oh, and Yes, I know the Suns are playing terrible defense as well. But the officiating in this game is quite rediculous.

Pathetic!

Mike D can't coach for sh*t! I mean what have they been doing in practise the last few days while Nash has been sitting? No one has any idea of what is going on! Especially defensively.

Collison has a double double already, surely we'd have made a concerted effort to gaurd him, after all, he did drop a 29pt 24reb performance last time we played the Sonics.

This game is another indication of what an average average coach Mike D is. Nash is the coach out there. Most of us know that by now, but it sh*ts me that Mike D is so stubborn and won't play JuJ or Jalen when we're at a stage where things can't get any worse! Play the freakn bench!

Nash is the only player with a brain? Pass the F'n ball to Amare!!! And all the Banks fans his +/- is real bad even when he does have a "good" game

Its so funny, we down 20, Mike D finally puts in JuJ. If this went on too long i wonder if he'd be fired?

Would anyone throw Marion's name out for trade right now?

My name is Shawn Marion and I'm an all star even though I can't do a damn thing when Steve Nash isn't on the court with me.

I can't wait until after the ASG when hopefully this nightmare will be over.

*edit:

No doubt in my mind after watching us lose to the hawks and seattle so badly, nash for mvp 3x anyone saying otherwise is completely insane.

*edit #2:

There is NO WAY if the mavs lost dirk for a stretch they would do this bad. NO WAY.

Yet another reason why Nash deserves a third straight MVP.

Because he transforms Marion from a pathetically overpaid role player into an all star?

Big time players step up when stars are missing, and Marion goes into the tank. What does that say?

Nash won't win MVP. Missing games due to injury counts into the equation.

Yes it is. This team is pretty poor without him, it's too his benefit. He missed like 6 straight games two years ago and that probably gave him the MVP over Shaq that year.

Man I just dont see why we stink so bad without nash we should be able to atleast win a few without him... I mean the lakers play better without kobe when he misses games and even dallas has enough depth to do ok without dirk when he is out. Oh well all that matters is the playoffs anyways and hopefully everyone will be heatlhy then.

Because without Nash we have very few players that can create their own shot consistently, those being Stoudemire, Diaw, and Barbosa. After that our team relies on Nash making things easy for them.

Yes because he transforms Marion into an allstar. Thats what an MVP does. I've been saying for years that Marion is an overpaid role player. He doesn't have a killer instinct and all though he claims he wants to be "the man" he cowers at the thought of actually taking the lead role. A trade in the offseason to get rid of Marion wouldn't bother me.

And an average coach to win coach of the year... Man, this team IS Nash, period!
