He doesn't have any profound insights, but I agree with his assessment of the center candidates he discusses.
Eddie's a really good guy to talk to. Very knowledgable, well-spoken, and loves basketball. I'm surprised ASU hasn't approached him about a coaching position. He belongs at that level. Knows how to communicate to kids that age better than most in the biz.

I wish he had covered some of the other guys like Blount, Etan Thomas, Skinner, Swift, Doleac, to name a few.

I'm surprised at how positive he is about Ostertag. It almost makes you wonder if he is trying to prepare us for the Suns signing him as a taller, cheaper alternative to White.

Which is not such a bad thing at all! And Ostertag has been healthy.

The Utah papers are saying that the Jazz are going to try to re-sign Tag, especially since the Mavs are out of the running.

I thought they were going strongly after Okur

Did they suddenly change their minds?

okur can play power forward as well, also ostertag only plays around 25 minutes a game.

Can you imagine how unathletic that frontcourt would be with Okur and Ostertag? That team would run with sloth-like speed.

I'm not exactly sure that would be too intriguing to me if I were in the Jazz's front office.
